IU and Lee Jongsuk love story can be straight out of kdrama or some romance book, because they went from enemies to long time friends to lovers. First they met each other in 2012 as MCs for Inkigayo, where they worked together for few months and they absolutely desliked each other. Seems like they had different approaches to work so they would get annoyed with each other. But after they stopped being MCs they resolved misunderstandings and became friends. They were friends for 10 years and became lovers in 2022. During those years eventhough they were friends and lived their own lives separately Lee Jongsuk said that IU always took up corner of his heart. And lastly end of 2022 when Lee Jongsuk won grand prize/daesang at one of award shows in his speech he mentioned someone whom he was very grateful to. No one knew who he was talking about but after few days it got revealed that they were dating, they were the 2023 dispatch couple.
