2023-11-15 11:32:03 Aww I love that you loved this show, cait. I'm not sure if you caught it at the end but Dan Oh is actually nameless in this new story in university, when she got to her locker she didn't have a name on it and when she dropped her book on the floor and the teacher picked it up, he said "student" and it didn't have her name on it as well. So now, both Dan oh and Haru are nameless extras and are free from the "stage" and can just live in the shadows. Love that for both of them. At the end, they quoted Heidegger and how people were "thrown into the world" (just like in their comic book) and they couldn't do anything against what the writer intended for each of their characters. Like, the writer is "God" in this story and whatever he writes, goes. So we, as humans naturally rebel against that. Just like what Dan oh and Haru did in Secret. They did everything they could to try and stop her from dying and choosing her own first love. They tried to change their pre-determined fate and be together. A lot of people miss that this isn't a clichéd high school romcom, but a in-depth show about deciding your own destiny and living according to your own desires, instead of the "writer's" (aka supreme being) intentions for you. Regardless of the consequences. Aww I hope you do check out more of Rowoon's dramas in the future, all of them especially Tomorrow & The Kings Affection are my faves. Thanks again 🩵

I dont think there will be a second season, since it ended in new story and both of them are in there as extra role. I accept this ending as "they loved happily ever after" vibe. But I do find this drama cuter than other korean romance dramas so when I need cute teenage love story I kept rewatching this drama 😆. I had so much fun watching this drama with you thank you 😘
