The way they decided to do the flashbacks in ep.9 is brilliant. Really good storytelling. No, they never tricked us on who the woman was on the car haha. They clearly showed how Kang Ho was told to 'take care' of the woman and her baby and then next scene was them on the car, he handed her a drink and pushed the car to the sea. They purposely limited the scenes shown in eps 1 & 2 to make Kang Ho appear to us as someone who sided with the wrong people and even becamr a 'murderer'. They only omitted the parts where it shows that Kang Ho plans the revenge and that he loves his mom. And this ep just bridges all the gaps in between the scenes and clears up Kang Ho's image. It's okay~ You were more focused on the relationships (mom and Mijoo) in the first eps and you kind of missed the details about the ongoing cases, which is understandable. Even the case of the guy he practically had jailed to 'save' mafia Song's grandson didn't seem to be familiar with you. He was the son of the old woman protesting in front of the court and Kang Ho's mom saw back then.
