I think you got a bit confused with flashback scenes. Mr. sunshine guy and girl who has depression known each other since they were kids, they lost contact after she moved to the city, then they accidentally met in a taxi and that's when all that moments of them having fun happened, that's when they went to the sea and he kissed her, after this incident they lost contact again. And finally they met again when her car broke down.

Fun fact, the captain guy and the girl that has depression are couple in real life. So people were very excited to see them on screen together. They have been dating since 2015, in 2017 he was diagnosed with cancer, he got treatment and thankfully recovered. "Our Blues" is his comeback drama after 6 years, so it's very special.

I do love both of them as actor/actress. Woobin in Uncontrollably Fond and Mina in My Girlfriend is a Gumiho were my first times watching them act and I became big fans of them both. I was glad to hear Woobin had completed his cancer treatments and was feeling well enough to continue acting. Glad to hear that his health is better now.
