Thank you so much for choosing this drama. This Drama is really a classic. You will see as you watch more. To see drama like this is rare. Interesting thing Cait Shin Min ah, the female lead in Hometown cha cha cha and Kim woo bin the guy that was driving the boat Josh was making fun of how he was talking with a mean face are dating. I hope you are not confused with my explanation, lol.

Haenyeo ("sea women") are female divers in Jeju, whose livelihood consists of harvesting a variety of mollusks, seaweed, and other sea life from the ocean. I was shocked when I found out that elderly women still do this job. It must be physically quite demanding. Actually as of 2014, 98% of divers are woman over the age 50. So this job is slowly getting extinct. Jeju’s dialect is different than the other Korean dialects. It is grammatically Korean, but, some of the vocabulary words are so different that even native mainland Koreans can’t understand. That's why in this drama sometimes you will see subtitles written in korean. Seungkwan from seventeen is actually from Jeju.

OMG - finally!!! So happy both you guys are watching this beautiful, deep drama. Josh, the female oyster divers of Jeju are mega famous. Episode 1 is easy going and slow but the episodes get better and better since you will see the heart wrenching story of more characters! xoxo :D

It’s so good seeing Kim Woobin back on screen after recovering from cancer! Along with his girlfriend the beautiful Shin Minah. I’m familiar with most of the cast, there’s so many top actors in this show and the atmosphere and cinematography of Jeju Island was captured beautifully. I started watching it a while ago but didn’t get very far yet because I‘ve been busy with other things but I hope I can watch it completely this time.

First time watching and this reminded me so much of hometown cha cha cha and I love it. Seaside comfort dramas <3 I might skip ahead and watch this show ngl lol. The actor/actress line up is phenomenal.
