The scene where Jang Bong-hwan (the guy in the queen's body) was in the club was just his imagination, he did not go to the club. lol And, what the Queen said to the Hwa-jin is, "You're here?" It's a similar pronunciation to "Whassup?"

I love that argument scene in the beginning lol chef in the queen's body just trying to go back to the present while the king thinks his wife is suicidal and he thinks it's his fault. Partly, it is his fault so I love how he opened up his heart to her this episode and wanted to start new. After the cousin went off on him you can tell he genuinely felt bad. Meanwhile she's just in her own world stabbing herself with her hair pin and tryna summon spirits with her DIY ouija board 😂💀 No touching will always be iconic 💯 and the scene where he says he will behead her with his own hands, I think he's just saying that to hide his real feelings. He down bad and trying to deny it lol. Also wanted to say Mr. Queen calls the king "Cheoljong" (his first name) which is extremely casual and lowkey disrespectful 😂 no one was allowed to call him by name back in those times, so I can see why all these crazy antics got Lady Choi stressed tf out. No wonder she went to go look for that kaleidoscope 💀 Different times indeed. It's hard watching this when the king has two wives but that was palace life. Kings and Queens got married to strengthen the kingdom, seldomly did they get married for love. Caught that Omarion - Ice box reference! 😂 can't wait for next weekend. Hi guy's, you should watch Mr Queen on Viki if you have this app because you are loosing some explanations on some words or phrases. For example when the King said " today is the first day of no touch" they explained that in modern Korea " today is the first day" it's a pick up line, that's why the Queen was telling him to stop saying that, and that made the scene a lot more funnier 😄. Loving the reaction

Yay! Just finished part 2 💜 The others have commented and explained about some scenes very well. But just want to add some more... "Today is our first day" in modern Korea means "our first day as couple is today" so it's for two people who are dating. That's why the Queen is so grossed out about the idea. There are many words from modern Korea that's not used in the past so for them, the Queen has a weird way of speaking. And then, the scene where Lady Uibin is painting orchids and Queen Dowager Jo visited her. She said about "wondering what this bud will be" (can't remember the words...maybe I'll rewatch that part) but Queen Dowager Jo was referring to Lady Uibin she's just using metaphor but basically she gifted the real metal arrows to see how far Lady Uibin can be calm and be unbothered by the Queen. Queen Dowager Jo wants Lady Uibin to hate So Yong so bad. Also, the translation of this drama idk where you are watching but sometimes it's makes it hard to understand, on the app where I watched Mr. Queen they never called HwaJin as Lady Uibin that's why I never called her that and the position of Byung-In was never that complicated and long... basically, his position is Department of Justice. Byung-In, the cousin of the Queen told his father that he finally has a dream position in the palace but he just wants a higher position so he can dig more about the assassin of the Queen. He's so into the Queen he's willing to do anything to catch that killer.

Just finished watching your reaction and l’m glad you’re both enjoying this show. 😄 Listening to what you both talked about during the show and at the end of the reaction, I’d like to recommend another modern-period mash up that I think you’ll both enjoy - Live up to your Name (available on Netflix). It’s acted by Kim Nam-gil, the actor that inspired Jin to want to become an actor. It has a good mix of comedy and drama. Perhaps something to consider for the future or to be watched on your own. ☺️ I don’t recall seeing it mentioned in any comments or poll so I thought I’d share it with you.

I def wasn't too into this at the 1st ep but by the 3rd I was more interested and now I'm invested. I also didn't think I'd like alchemy of souls but once I saw one ep I was like omg I'm gonna like this show and it was amazing q seasons. I know you guys have moved past this one already since I'm late I'm hoping the rest of the show is good!
