LOLLL not the dementia rabbit hole guys!! Those theories are so wild for no reason xD but I am pretty sure they are broken up for good and have moved on with their lives. I read somewhere that the reason why they didn't show the husband was that the writers felt like that person was never going to compare to Yijin, which I feel is true. A random man shown in the last episode wasn't going to make us want Heedo to be with him rather than with Yijin. It's a very bittersweet ending, but like I said before I can pretend that the show ended at episode 13 lmao

Now that it's over I can share an interesting rumour about inspiration behind this drama. There is song that came out in 2013 by korean rock band Jaurim, the song is called "2521" and it plays only in two episodes of this drama. It's not an official ost but it's played in episode 2 when their love story starts and in episode 15 when their love story is coming to end. The song is dedicated to Jaurim's main vocalist Kim Yuna's and her boyfriend's relationship when they were 25 and 21. Her boyfriend passed away at age 27, caused by overworking. Later after 8 years (like Heedo) she got married to a guy whose surname is KIM (Like Heedo) and now has a son whose name is KIM MIN JAE (very similar to Heedo's daughter's name Kim Min CHAE). Some lyrics of this song are "I thought it would last forever 25 and 21" "The ocean on that day was so warm" "I thought it would last forever the you and me of past" "I can't stop us from growing apart". So it hasn't been confirmed by the writer but it seems like there is a chance that this drama was inspired by this song and real story behind it.

Honestly who the husband is doesn't matter at all, I feel like if they brought someone in and told us this is her husband, everyone would be pissed and hated him anyways so what's the point, like this story is about heedo and yijin I don't care who that guy is at all, I don't even want to see his face, he means nothing to this story :D I do love ending in a sense that it's very realistic, not every passionate relationship in real life has happy ending and it's okay, and break up isn't the end of your life, time will pass and you will find someone else. I think it's good that tv shows sometimes show us this type of happy ending too. The very last scene with "Who is your first love?" question seems meaningless because we as audience felt that Heedo was his first love, but in reality who knows? He never said it himself and we know he had many girlfriends before, whom he "loved" a lot. That's why we couldn't 100% say that she was his first love. So this is why that last scene is important, it confirms that Heedo was indeed his first love. You guys are looking too much into it Yijin is not the father, they broke up, she got married, that was the whole point of this drama :d

This show was like an ode to youth — to our young and dumb teenage years to becoming an adult, first loves & hard break ups, achieving your dreams & the hard work it took to get there. We all knew the outcome but still held out hope for them lol. Their love story was uniquely beautiful. But she said multiple times in this drama nothing beautiful lasts forever, moments are fleeting, so love hard while you have the opportunity too. Still this ending broke my heart 😭 in the credit scene, you can see yijin named heedo his first love, and he didn't have a ring on his finger. Homeboy never got married 😭 he loved her, they grew together and supported each others dreams. So no matter who they chose as heedo's husband we would've hated him anyway lol idc if it was gong yoo 🙄😂 anyone who wasn't yijin woulda got canceled in real life lmfao jk. I still have a lot of love for this show, all the actors/actresses were top tier, Nam Joo Hyuk killed this role and so did Kim Tae Ri. As someone said above, this story is based off the song "2521" by Jaurim. If you read the lyrics it really hits home. I feel like the real story is way more sad then the drama portrayed. 9.8/10 for me ❤️ thank you guys hope you enjoyed it.

this was probably one of my favorites. it really is a great story about youth, and i feel as if it’s realistic. it’s definitely the vibe of right person, wrong time. they both did so well in their roles, as did everyone else. if you wanna check out any interviews they did for this show, it would be fun to see! overall, i’d give it a 9/10. although i liked it realism, im still sad they didn’t end up together.
