Naksu has also started to care about him because she told him that she'd spare him the next time she comes across him after she realized he was willing to protect her with the Gwigu (demon dog that finds soul shifters). Obviously they're not romantically interested in each other bcs they've just met, but for Jang Uk this is the only person in his life who has essentially put him first because everyone is more scared of his father and his orders than how Jang Uk is affected. While for Naksu this is the first person who has tried to protect her with how her family died and how she was only taken in to be made a weapon by someone who's now trying to kill her off. Anyway my entire point is that they both do care to some degree right now even though they're both fully aware to using each other for their own benefit, it's not a terrible thing because it's a mutually beneficial plan.

LOL honestly when I first watched this episode at first I was like "oh this is a cool magic drama" but when she literally poisoned him I was sucked in immediately. Like I said this is a Hong Sisters drama and from what I've seen so far their female characters are always really bad ass which is what I like.

Glad you guys like the show! The story is really fast in the beginning as it building up the world and base storyline to viewers. Also, there will be so much more to the story when it starts going deeper on how Alchemy Of Souls started and there will be more terms too. The show always explain new terms through conversations between characters. Hard to digest in the beginning but you will get use to it. Daeho is a country (not exist inside map or any record) surrounded by large lake called Lake Gyeongcheondaeho. This lake holds the energy of sky (which rules wind, clouds and rain). Someone who is able to control this energy is called mages. Songrim is like a 'small town' inside Daeho Fortress (capital of Daeho) and run by Park family. Current leader is Park Jin and his heir is his nephew, Park Danggu (summer guy). Inside Songrim there is a 'hospital/infirmary' called Sejukwon. The leader is Heo Yeom (the old guy that open Jang Uk's gate of energy). Heo Yeom is part of Seo family clan (not related by blood). Seo family does not live in the capital (the reason goes back hundreds of years ago) so Heo Yeom represent Seo family in the fotress and kinda looking for Seo family's heir, Seo Yul (autumn guy with bird whistle) while he trains at Jeojingak. Jeojingak is like a mages school inside Songrim which train young mages to control power. They have dormitories, library, training centre, all that jazz. Songrim also runs their own business although it doesn't mentioned much throughout the show. Cheonbugwan is located not in Songrim but next to royal palace. They record stars/constellation and guards the palace/royal family. The leader of cheonbugwan is called Gwanju. Currently the Gwanju is Jang Gang (Jang Uk's 'dad') but he has been away for years so his assistant, Jin Mu is running the place. The heir for Gwanju's position is Jang Uk (if he can cast spell). Take note, Jang Gang is Park Jin's good friend and they both trained at Jeojingak together. Another important place that has only been mentioned once so far is Jinyowon. Jinyowon is like a cave/sanctuary where all relics created through sorcery is kept and guarded by Jin family. Rather than mages, Jin family/Jinyowon has what is called as priestess since divine power is more important to them in order to guard and control relics. Also, Jin family practices matriarchy. The leader is a women, heir is a woman, their guards are all women, man marrying a Jin lady also has to change their first name to Jin. Current leader is Jin Hogyeong (I call her Lady Jin) and her heir is Jin Choyeon (spring girl who previously engaged to Jang Uk). Chwiseonru is a famous bar/brothel/restaurants/hotel of Daeho fotress. Run by Joo Wool. This place is news centre and where someone goes if they want to know latest gossip. 😂😂😂 Also, the royal family name is Go (Just a side info). Not exactly important but nice to know I guess.

I’m glad you enjoying this Drama so far, I have an inkling that you will be watching it to the end. This is Mr third time watching it with you. I love this kind of fantasy fiction. PT2 is great too!!
