Erm josh his name is oikawa toru , the captain of seijoh . Senpai is jp word for senior (like kageyama called oikawa , oikawa-senpai ... Similar to sunbae in korean) . For haikyuu theres no villain character, just an opponent so its totally ok to like oikawa ( the "oi" is like hoy when greeting someone, "kawa" similar to kawa in kawasaki )

This series definitely has some good lessons so I hope your daughter does end up liking the show. Also for anime OST, I think Bleach has one of the best to me. Although I do enjoy almost every intro/outro of animes I've watched. And for the extra bit, it was that part when they were eating. I think you should pay attention to Karasuno's audience as the games go on too. It's something extra that's kinda cool.
