Okay here is my take because you asked for it. I did love the show. But I get why you didn't though. This is not the type of show to answer all the questions. It's the type of show to make you think about the world around you. For example, I am struggling with attending church rn because I feel like it does not aline with what I know the Bible says. Religion, churches, and it's structures have sought to gain power over the world throughout 100's of years. Even now there is a christian movement to take over the gov't. So the way The New Truth was operating is an example of that. The way they use The Arrowhead is a critic of the way religions groups will use political or extreme groups to further their power. That's one thing. The other is the bounders, they may or may not be part of an actual heaven or hell. They are supernatural but we have no idea if they are actually real or not. It's like the idea that if something bad happens to you, like you are diagnosised with cancer or you lose a child, you did something to deserve it. That is often a part of most religions. A lot of religious people are super judgy. The idea that if I just do more good deeds or I repent publicaly I will be forgiven. Like God is not a gum ball machine lol! The bounders could be random or they could actually be demons doing a job. We just don't know. That's thing two. And the last thing is the ones who survived. Notice it was the mother and a child. The baby received a decree but because of the scarifices of the parents, it survives. So does that mean that ithe baby is the new messiah? Or that there a way to get by the bounders? We don't know because that is how life is. Until we actually die we have no idea what the afterlife looks like. But you have people now making all kinds of decisions on those possiblity in this life. And the mother. who comes back. Mothers have been known to do some amazing things to save their kids. They don't always just accept things. So did Jungja climb out of hell for her kids? Is she the new messiah? Like you guys asked. Will she be the only one or will they all come back? Was she really in hell? What information is she going to bring? The lawyer and the cop are fascinating to me because of their role as parents. To safe his daughter any kind of hassale he did not expose the lie that the chairman was just in case his daughter gets tangled up in the death of her mother's murder's death. He would scarfice the world for his daughter. And the lawyer? What will she do with the child? Will the baby be raised as an ordinary kid or as the messiah people will think it is? And it all comes back to the people. People need to stand up and speak up for each other. I wear LBGTQIA ally pins and shirts now because I got tired of the young people in my life, students, god daughters, thinking that suicide was an answer. We should decide how best to govern ourselves instead of any religions, like the taxi driver says at the end. So, here is my essay. LOL let me know what you guys think, Lots of people watch shows and movies to get away from the world. That was not this show. Either way I really enjoyed watching this with you guys, as always.
