Omg yayy

Madison

Okay before i watch this i have a question, Ginger or Mint Yoongi??

SoulFromSeoul

Thankyou for this reaction, my stance on James is we don’t know what was said behind the scenes before the show was aired between himself and the boys. For all we know he may have apologised for the distasteful jokes hopefully in private, I will support the boys because it shows they want to keep this bridge intact for the time being and if they’re happy which they seemed to be then I’m happy. 💜🙏

Stina S

Stop!!!!!! You got me laughing before it started with your pronunciation of mochi!!! Lmao!! I haven't heard it that way before 😭😭😭 Mo-chi not moochi Mo sounds like slow-mo with out slow and chi sounds like the beginning of cheese w/o the last 2 letters. This is how I hear it all the time but 🤔🤔🤔 I might just start using your way tho I would have to remember to change it when I'm ordering mochi ice 🍨

Madison

About the James thing, I think people overreacted because we have been called teens before so the whole death threats thing and bad google reviews was extra in my opinion. Also that's how talk shows work, they say things that gets attention. We don't know what gets cut out in editing and you can actually hear james say, "It wasn't an apology" in the video midst his laughter so i guess it depedns on how you take it, but they look happy and the paparazzi videos that came out they still looked happy then, at the end of the day its an industry, people say and do things for the views and money.

Madison

Also when James said he carried jimin, they did a crosswalk skit that comes out whenever it does, they didn't release a date for it, but they have clips on Hollywood Fix but idk if you guys wanna watch it because the actual thing hasn't been released yet on James's channel

Frayed

I'm a little torn with this tbh. First of all I don't condone that kinda hate (death threats) from anyone to anyone, personally I stay well away from any toxicity and negativity. What bothers me with this is that James pointed out the extreme/nasty comments, when there were many ARMYs respectfully commenting. Sadly, this is what happens when people go too far with hate, the real message gets lost and that doesn't achieve anything. I do think it was discussed in some way beforehand but for me that doesn't diminish the fact they spoke publically about it, it was the right thing to do. That being said, what gets to me the most is that the guys even have to address it in the first place. Sorry for the long post, I hope everyone is happy and healthy. Much love💜

Pralee

We should move on people. Because that's what adults do. People make mistakes and if you’re never made one, kudos to you. Also, confrontation isn't always that bad and what we call "savage". It's a part of being matured and that's what their conversation was all about. James probably already made an apology with the boys behind closed door. Was James joke about the UN and Army distasteful? Yes but it's not cancel worthy or something to send death threats over. Obviously the boys had already move on and so should we.

Anonymous

lmfao they're so sexy for this especially namjoon HELP

mia

all im gonna say is i was never here for james only bts, like im not here to support james you know. i never liked any tv hosts really because most of them just want views and for their show to be talked about. like james not knowing their music really wasn’t a surprise to me because he’s not an genuine fan and that’s fine with me. i like the things they do with james, the carpool karaoke was fun to watch and that crosswalk thing they did i can’t wait to watch it. i don’t support death threats in any way, that’s too much. the joke was stupid but bts moved on so i will also do the same, at the end of the day it is what it is. - YOONGIS ORANGE HAIR I WILL NEVER GET OVER IT. (happy thanksgiving everyone <3)

Dorrie

Thank you for the video guys 💜 Namjoon is indeed the best leader ever!He did it to clear the air because some armys were definitely too extreme and wanted to show to armys that they moved on. Sending death threats, insults in the name of BTS is just not ok for our boys image. Of course James made a stupid comment but we should tell him with good manners and respect. Yes we protect our boys but there is a limit. I just don’t want people to see army as people that become monsters whenever there is a bad comment….we better than that. For the apology part, I mean they contacted each other before the show so i’m 100% sure they had a proper conversation like they even pass a day together filming so they definitely talked. The boys came back at the show and had fun that’s all matter for me, if they’re happy I’m happy 😊💜

Watching that interview on television had me laughing one second and then sobbing the next. I love these boys so much and as we get closer and closer to the concert, my heart just gets way too sensitive when i see them. I totally agree with what you're saying cait, it's honestly annoying hearing talk show hosts or anybody say they're the "biggest bts fan" when in reality, they don't know anything about their albums or the members. Jimin asked cordon if he listened to their BE album and he couldn't stop mentioning dynamtie which made it clearly obvious he didn't listen to it. It doesn't take that much effort to listen to the music of the person you'll be interviewing. Out of all the talk show hosts in America i truly feel that jimmy fallon and james cordon are genuine in their love and interest for bts. You kinda have to give the side eye to james cordon tho but people make mistakes. You can't forever hold a grudge against someone. He knew he messed up and looked embarrassed about the whole thing. In his mindset he wasn't thinking properly and thought it was "harmless" which obviously he was wrong and quickly realized that. Reminds me of the incident with jungkook and the flower crew. The comedian during that show was horrible towards him and later apologized and was seen hugging it out and laughing together with jungkook. I personally am not a fan of him after what he did but i still highly appreciate the interview they did on "you quiz on the block." I was not expecting namjoon to bring up the situation however it was a good thing that he did because i'm sure the boys must've felt extremely awkward being there, including james. Namjoon accepted his words and wants to move on. Bts do not like to be involved in ANY drama and army should listen and do the same.. move on. Not saying what he did was okay, it's about maturity. As long as the same mistake doesn't get made twice. I still love the tiny connection he has made with jimin and it's still cute to me. The hand holding and hugging was sweet to see and made me smile. Cordon also made sure to make eye contact with everyone and talk about how much bts treasures army. I love this interview! Namjoon handled it very well and everyone was very happy and smiley. The whole grammy thing as well, you're right josh. 👏 PS: Telling people they should die is NEVER ok in any way. I didn't know he got death threats. You cannot call yourself an army and send death threats to someone. Bts has preached to show kindness to everyone around you and we know how it feels when the boys get the same hate from ignorant people so why spread that? Truly embarrassing.

Jenny

All I'm going to say on the matter is that it is never ok to send anyone threats or hate. You can actively disagree with someone without getting toxic. However, I have never been a huge fan of James as I feel he lacks sincerity with the people he interviews, and this whole thing only cemented that for me - from the original comments to the "apology". I will always support the boys no matter what they do but I don't have to like James because he interviews them every once in a while - they are not mutually exclusive. Namjoon is truly the best, most supportive leader and we're so lucky to have a group who support their fans the way they do.

Namjoon putting everyone in their place since he landed here in the US! ARMY are not bots! James in hot water with ARMY, and Yes, 4 SOLD OUT shows! NAMJOON FOR PRESIDENT! 💜

Cheyenne

Josh cooing over jungkook being nervous like ME TOO MAN. 😭💜 He's being all shy and suga started to tease him like please. 🥺 Jungkook is still shy and introverted and he's gotten better with getting out of his shell over the years and puts on such an amazing persona for the performances and exudes so much confidence but at the end of the day, he's still our bunny. :') I know all of them will be extremely nervous and emotional for SOFI.

Cheyenne

It looks like so much fun and i thought it was gonna be in this episode! So sad it wasn't but i am looking forward to watching it. 😊 I'm pretty sure they said it will air after SOFI??

We should learn how to forgive. Let’s look on the good side and not on the bad side as per Yoongi. I am an army and I kinda agree with some of the comments here that we are kinda overreacting. He made the joke yes, he maybe did not write it in the first place as these shows have their own scriptwriters. Maybe he did not realise that it will become a big deal to the fans and what he said was insensitive and offending. But guys, nobody is perfect and we ourselves make mistakes. We should learn to forgive. I think Namjoon did this as well for the sake of both Army and James. It’s an obvious way to tell us all to stop the hate and move past it. I am not pro James but I do think his show is hilarious. He has the most unique segments out there compare to other late shows. (Carpool karaoke, crosswalk musical, spill the guts… to name a few). And he has been interviewing a lot of celebrities and made jokes as well. Wishing someone to be dead is totally uncalled-for. Army should be a fandom of positivity and not negativity. I am just happy the boys are happy. Some may not agree with what I said here in the comments but hey, we are entitled to our own opinion. Anyway, nice to hear your thoughts. And I can’t wait for their ‘“Crosswalk Musical” segment.

Cheyenne

Oh god this news is making me cry. "BTS applies for deferment of mandatory military enlistment" which means bts will be together performing as 7 in 2022. Possible world tour next year then?? 💜💜 Namjoon even hinted it during an ama interview. So many artists are doing world tours now. ;__;

Cheyenne

Like bro i hope to see them and they don't have to go yet. Fingers crossed for now.

Bangtanlicious

Honestly we as a fandom have been called children and teen girls so much that it's not even funny as a joke, and death threats are never okay, but i notice how nobody but ARMY always speak up when BTS get daily death threats, so to see ppl hate on BTS for not being "mad enough" at the death threat James mentioned blows my mind. I really appreciate how BTS handled this bc in every single situation we have seen where ppl (and not just anybody, ppl with huge platforms as well} tried to make them look bad, the proof shows that they are ALWAYS so nice. It's really crazy and inspirational to see.

Charmaine Flynn

I think the word you're looking for in regards to Mr. Corden's demeanor is "patronizing". At least that's the vibe I was getting all throughout the interview. I also think Seokjin was definitely being sarcastic. But yes, let's move on - ARMY is here for Bangtan and Bangtan only. Oh, they shot some sidewalk musical, or whatever the segment is called. We'll probably see them in during ratings season for the late night show.

essi

so true. i don't accept cordens 'non apology' and i don't have to. but we can also move on and keep supporting bts because it's clear that the members want to keep the connection with him.

Anonymous

you guys put my thoughts into words about the James situation. I completely agree. Not only did he disrespect bts but also the army. Who reads the script and see nothing wrong about those “harmless jokes” if they were a so called “one of the biggest armys.” The interview felt weird and uncomfortable at times but im here for the boys and i’m glad they handled it not too seriously and still had fun calling him out lol.

Anonymous

My biggest problem with the jokes was that he disrespected the guys. Why is it strange that they were at the UN? That was their third time giving a speech at the UN.

M bat78

I feel like Joon was just saying hey don't think we don't know what happened. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. They'll let this time go but they've got their eye on you.

Rae Avilez

Sexy Namjoon! He has literally been point blank calling everyone of what they said about armys since they arrived! The red carpet were he said they were just happy to be with armys again, the actual people and not bots lol! When he said about the staduims being sold out because of course they are always sold out! And now this! Calling James on his crap! I think he knew we werent' going to a great apology but it was a we know and we are watching you kinda of move. And Jin! LOL I think he was more afraid of losing the Papa Mochi moniker than anything else. So I do think he will think twice before saying something now. And since my bias said we are done with this, I'm done with this.

Madeleine

I feel two ways about the situation. I totally agree that what James said was disrespectful to both BTS and army. And this interview kinda made me feel like he was scrambling for good things to say to make the situation 'better'. However the people who sent him death threats and very nasty comments are no better. It was a very uncomfortable situation and he made a mistake, but that doesn't justify the abuse he received online. I think BTS handled this extremely well and I'm proud of all the army's who defended our boys by educating and not spreading further hate💜 thank you for the video! Love you guys. Can't wait for the kdrama reactions!💜💜

Holly-Jayne

Josh it's James CorDEN not CorDON! 🤣🤦‍♀️ Also they did a crosswalk skit thing that hasn't been released yet! It's being released after the LA shows 😁💜

Bernadette Roberts

Honestly, JC has Always been more of a big 1D Directioner than huge Army. But, I've just let that issue go but not forgotten. If I were JC, I'd be on notice and watch what he says . But I don't think he deserves to be cancelled or death threats. Nkotb and Blockheads have a very large and close bond also. I've been a Blockheads for 36 years. We've gone through a lot too. Would be made fun of. Fought for the guys to finally get their Star on the Walk of Fame. I don't think jc has ever had them on the show. I dont remember if Donnie has been on esp with him on Blue Bloods. I don't think JC was 100% apologetic, but we shall see what happens from here on out. I'll always support BTS. That's where it counts most.

Courtney_Sky (The Tortured Poets Department April 19th)

TBH, I don't really care, I never did. Yes, I was very disappointed in him, I'm not a 15-year-old girl, he should know how to respect ARMY. Also, he has two people to apologise to, BTS AND ARMY, he didn't apologise to us, the people who he targeted. Now people can take those jokes he made in different ways, I'm not TOO bothered, even though I'm a bit bothered. I'm not gonna lie, I was trying to see if Jimin was comfortable throughout that every time the Mochi thing was brought up or the fact that Corden was touching him so much, idk it felt very James Charles-like. BUT, the death threats, very unnecessary, even though you didn’t bring that up, I wouldn’t wish death on my worst enemy. I already had deep trust issues before BTS, I can’t handle more trust issues anymore. Also, the only person who knows he is telling the truth or lying is himself so that’s why I don’t straight up judge him and call him fake when I don’t even know him or his true intentions, you can assume, but I don’t want to be that egotistical, know-it-all ARMY.

Skye

I saw some people saying that Jin saying about watching James to relax could’ve been a response to James saying he loved their album when he hadn’t listened to it 😂 and with the whole James Cordon thing, if BTS didn’t want to go on his show after the whole situation, they wouldn’t have done it and considering they filmed the crosswalk thing before this interview I assume and I hope that he maybe apologised off camera to the boys and it was only addressed in the interview for the sake of army

m

To me what was most notable about the joke wasn't the inaccurate generalisation of the fandom or the arguably condescending tone towards BTS (though those are annoying). It's the use of teenage girls as a comedic point as though they are something to laugh at. I'm not mad or anything, it's just very revealing. But even if we were to disregard these points it's not even a funny joke imo...it's kinda lazy comedy. That said I agree we shld just move on. Hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving!

Chelsea

Exactly, honestly- I think "Ugh" was an attempt at BTS to subtly/non directly call out ARMY out for getting super duper livid and upset over what may be minor offenses. And also- I've asked around- have there been ANY jokes that ARMY have been ok with? At a certain point, if you find all BTS-related jokes too offensive, you have to start asking yourself if you are being too sensitive. After all, pretty much all comedy is based on observations and generalizing.... Some ARMY were/are also pissed at Lizzo even though BTS has made it clear that that they themselves are cool with her thinking they are sexy.... If BTS has to spend their free time and/or work time, because Corden is work... "Cleaning up" because ARMY starts harassing other people- we aren't doing them any favors.

zzzuzi_the_hedgehog

Jin is hilarious 😂 it was so cool. Did James understand that it was a reminder that James lied that he listened Be album?

zzzuzi_the_hedgehog

I think James is faking his love for BTS. I hope that he never disappoint our boys again. Not because I care about him, I just don't want our boys being hurt. Specifically Jimin. I think he really believes James.

Anonymous

If I may add… I also don’t care if James is sincere or not. All I care is that the boys agreed to be on his show. If Namjoon says they appreciate his apology and Jimin said he believes him, who are we to say otherwise? Do you still want to hear him say “i am sorry” out loud or kneel on public television?!? C’mon guys, BTS is okay with James now and for them it is no longer an issue. Namjoon did the right thing addressing it right away. Besides, I saw the leaks all over twitter and you can tell the boys had fun shooting the Crosswalk. Why are we so bitter Army??? Please act like an adult and remove all the hatred. James prolly learned his lesson and he may have had a good talk with them privately. Let’s not overthink and make drama out of it. Let’s prove to the world that this fandom spreads positivity. We have to be advocates of Love and that is what BTS has been preaching all along. Be kind!! Move on!!!

Jennifer Akins

I don't believe James Corden. He's a Comedian and he interviews for a living and that's it. He may like the boys on one level but I think as a whole it is mostly to get through the interview and maybe be an acquaintance so that they are returning guests to his show. They (BTS,) are doing the rounds for the concert, period. They are in LA. It serves both parties that they come on the Late Late Show, if that makes any sense. It makes good exposure for the boys. Namjoon was good to call him out though, of course...However, I believe that all was planned out in advance. I think James knew. He was "ready" with that half-baked response about the "15 year old's" comment. This was planned...And James doesn't listen to their music. He's a talk show host. Unlike JImmy Fallon, he doesn't seem as attached to his guests IMO. so I don't think it's only BTS, but I feel that because of that snaffu, it kind of exposed that side of Corden, and not in a good way. BTS is just doing the right thing to go on the show (like a good band should), It's very sportsmanlike...they go that one step further, and we feel that...which also can't be denied, is their authentic selves; comes out of who they are. Sadly though, I don't think James truly cares that he disrespected the fanbase nor BTS, and yet he NEEDS them to come on his show. It's a tit for tat. It's show business. It's not "real". He will say the things he needs to about how hard they worked (and even sound convincing) , but it isn't real. I commend the boys though for the way they handled it, and for HYBE to make those moves. They really really could have just ignored the existence of the Late Late Show altogether and evermore, but they chose this as the better solution. And, it worked. It made the boys look good. The whole time I was watching this, I was like: "Man, I am Cait right now" I totally agree with her sentiments on the matter. James is a good entertainer, I just wished that he took the time to respect the guests on his show, instead of using them for a laugh. By that I mean, to really respect their craft and not regurgitate talking points that someone researched for him. Everything that he said about ARMY in that interview could have been googled or taken out of tweets. If he was a little more invested, it wouldn't sound so...rehearsed.

Armystic

Jungkook really isn’t shy anymore…. He is an introvert but those two things don’t go hand in hand… he doesn’t have a problem talking with strangers or being around people he doesn’t know… like jimin is extremely shy… but not an introvert and probably the most shy out of them all. Jungkook is an observer and being quiet and less likely to insert his own thoughts all the time doesn’t automatically make him shy .

The crosswalk concert was funny
