Only halfway through but I thought I'd say the members that are always cheating are Suga and Tae. the Yoonki spelling is just an alternative way to spell his name. ultimately unless you read Korean there is no right way to spell their names because it's not english. Also as for licenses, supposedly Jimin just got his license but he hasn't told us. Outside of that everyone drives except Joon.

You have some amazing epic moments coming up in the coming episodes, I'm so excited for you! Yoonki is not a subtitle error. Basically it's because of the romanization from hangul. 민윤기 is his name, which can be romanized as both Min Yoongi, Min Yoonki (and I think also Yunki). Namjoon can also be romanized as Namjun and Jungkook as Jeongguk (there might be more examples, but I'm not really an expert 😅)

When your watching th run episodes you might notice that suga says to v to hold hands.They say this Bc in Hawaii when they got to be on a team together suga said he will hold his hand.I know you’ve watched that bon voyage episode already so I’m saying it bc it’s really cute that even after bon voyage they still make that reference on “holding hands”.Suga and v say this reference a few more times in run.

Just like the others said, Suga and V are the ones who cheats the most. Although Suga is the one who cheats so obviously and is also the one who is always caught, while V does it in the opposite way. When V cheats, most of the time he doesn't get caught because he cheats neatly, if that makes sense. They did cheat in the previous episodes of run though, I'm not sure if you missed them, but anyway, you'll likely see them cheat in the coming episodes. But it's not just them who cheats though, some of the members do too, like Jin.

From my understanding with 'Yunki', in Korean the 'G' is pronounced as a 'g' sound when at the beginning of a word, but pronounced more like a 'K' when it's in the word. There's only one character for both G and K sounds in Korean (i'm learning). So, 'Yoongi is better pronounced when spelled as 'Yunki' instead. Also I can't believe I haven't see this before! I went gokarting yesterday too haha what are the odds. P.S love the scrunchie Kait! Thanks for the reaction guys!

Jungkook has a vlive where he explains what happened to him and how he felt about the situation. Basically he was working out and ended up hitting his heal (around the achilles) and split the skin open so bad that he needed stitches.

Its important to remember that the romanization of any lanugage is just what that language´s sounds would be SIMILAR to. korean has plenty of sounds that dont exist in english so the same names/words might sometimes look different romanized

Kinda but not really. The sounds are represented by the same letter, but the location in the word affects the pronunciation, which is why it's difficult to go by the romanization when trying to figure out how a word is pronounced. For example, at the start of a word, it's "k", in the middle, its "g". This is because the "k" as in kite and the "g" as in gift are have very very similar pronunciations. The only difference the "g" is pronounced using the vocal folds (voiced), while the "k" isn't (unvoiced). It's "g" in the middle of words because the consonant is being affected by the vowels (b/c vowels are pronounced using the vocal folds) or other voiced consonants around it , changing the "k" to a "g" The reason they are interchangeable when writing is that because this process occurs naturally in the language, so most Koreans aren't even aware that the pronunciation changes unless it is pointed out to them, so to them, the letter are interchangeable because they hear them as the same, while English speakers hear them as being different. This also occurs with p and b, t and d, and ch and j, in Korean, and maybe some others I'm not thinking of rn. So if Yoongi were to break up his name and pronounce it syllable by syllable, slowly, it would sound like Yoon Ki, but spoken more quickly, it becomes Yoongi. This is also why you'll hear Jungkook or Jimin names as "Chungkook" or "Chimin" if you listen closely (that's where the Chim Chim nickname came from btw).

I’m Korean and just to clarify (in case anyone’s reading this now and wondering), Korean does in fact have both the k (ㅋ) and g (ㄱ) sounds. Romanizations are often inaccurate, and could be spelled better, but as someone said the sounds don’t always match and we come up with something somewhat close. That why we get Yoongi (most accurate) and Yoonki/Yunki (less accurate but could work if said fast). The romanization for Jungkook is not wholly accurate, because the middle (and end) of his name is pronounced in Korea with what is very much a “g” sound. If his name had a true “k” sound in it, it would be spelled differently in Korean. Same with Yoongi. His name is spelled 윤기, so even if you break the syllables up it and said it slowly, or put the second part of his name first, it would still be pronounced with a “g” sound. Now sometimes the g (ㄱ) might be said with a harder edge in some cases, in which case you’d use another letter (ㄲ), but it is not remotely close to a true k sound. For that type of sound you would use ㅋ, the hard k. But it’s all good, it doesn’t bother me when non Koreans pronounce Jungkook with a k sound. It’s understandable, since he spells it that way in English, so how would they know, right? 🙂

Thank you for explaining. I kinda suspected we say Jungkook wrong. I can hear Junggugie when they call him. I’m from Poland though so I write his name Jungguk or sometime even Chonggug. It’s just my way though 😅 Recently I started to learn Korean so fingers crossed that I will be able to learn everything properly xx

Not Korean but bc this confused me I started paying attention to how he introduces himself and for Korean shows or events when he says his name it almost sounds like it’s spelled “chun goo” even the J sounds like CH when he says it…. However I’ve noticed in English interviews or in the US he pronounces his name as “Jungkook” like he says it how it would sound to a non Korean speaker in English. Sometimes it may be a bit different but for the most part it seems like he says it that way in English speaking countries bc he understands what it sounds like for us reading it…. Just something i noticed
