This was another great episode. It was emotional to watch the behind the stage and listen and see their struggles and worries. I love how they always think about Army. I also love watching Army and knowing how BTS is there for them. I think about their stories. We are really enjoying these episodes, thanks so much for telling us cause we wouldn't be here with out you.

Loved this reaction guys!! Everything you said about seeing the crowd and knowing that all those Armys recieved help from bts at some point in their lives is how I feel too!! Like this army family really does extend all over the world and I think that's beautiful ♡♡♡♡♡

Arcadia

Thank you for uploading the video that you can enjoy with me every week. It is just too painful to be uploaded once a week. There are a lot of videos we have to watch together, but it's too hard to upload one video a week.ㅠㅠ

lucy

agree! since it's very speedy and in-depth documentary, there is always so much going on literally every second. when you watch Burn The Stage, nothing's important than concentrating because most scenes are very serious and emotional. every second is necessary to get the flow of the scenes and their feelings. All the words from them here are also golds. when i watched Burn The Stage, i almost didn't breathe and was busy focusing on the flow of the scenes and the words lol this contents is that full-filled. there's no time to take your eye's off. i love hearing your comments but also hope you don't missing anything, so i suggest you to pause the video when you're gonna comment something not short when it comes to Burn The Stage :)

I love when one of the members said " Hang his passport around his neck from now on " LOL

House of ARMY was way before this was filmed. This is the 2nd time (we know of) that Namjoon lost his passport. I died when I heard Tae say “can you speak more slush?” The more you get to know them and listen to them talk about their feelings, you get to see things in their perspective and put yourself in their shoes. Jimin is a sensitive person. I know he feels self-conscious about his voice sometimes, so when I hear a tiny voice crack, my heart breaks for him because I feel like he will regret/think about it when he is home and trying to go to sleep. You can see how hard they work and how important it is to them to put on a good show for us. I feel like as an ARMY, it is selfish of us to say “BTS better have a concert in my country/city!”, “they better collab with such and such artist”, or “they should make a better song/album than the last one”. Let them do what they want to do. That’s it. As fans, we just support them for what they do for us.

Thank you, Josh and Cait! I really love watching these with you guys!

your absolutely right, I also tend to ruminate on all the negative things i've done and i'm disappointed in myself but I should accept that it happened and try to see it as a learning experience. Thank you for mentioning that. Jungkook overworked himself during rehersals too, even RM told him to slow down but he is such a strong hardworking man that on stage he never once showed how he was feeling. He gave the audience his all, a true performer. I always remember this clip when I see them in concerts and it hurts me to see them suffer like this. I remember crying so much in ep. 3 be prepared kate XD

Loved your reaction <3 I'm going through all of the emotions again. This is only my 2nd time watching it, because it really does pull at your heart strings….

I think Jimin was in a dark place in the time this was filmed, he talked about it a couple of times, but we can clearly see it at times like in this episode. Jimin’s always been so hard on himself to the point it’s not healthy, not only with his performance, but also with the way he looks. I’m not sure you know this, but he struggled a lot with managing his weight, he put himself in extreme diets and worked out like crazy, something very dangerous to do considering how exhausting their schedules are. I know Tae and him used to fight about this, they mentioned it a couple of times (considering how close they are it makes so much sense that he was specially worried about him). And this was filmed around the time BTS blowed up worldwide, all of the sudden the eyes of the whole world were on them, it was a lot of pressure for them all, but Jimin being so insecure… I can’t imagine how that must’ve felt. Thankfully he’s doing a lot better now; he said he doesn’t diet anymore, and that he’s trying to love himself more. That was what he was talking in the song promise, it was a promise to love and cherish himself. If you’ll like to hear him talk about this you can watch this Vlive https://www.vlive.tv/video/109729 where he talks about promise and this log https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8cOW8bTTA2s Sorry for this long essay, I’m trying to give you guys some context and so that you don’t worry so much about that happening now, i trust in him when he says he’s better. Thanks for the great reaction as always, today I got late to work because I watched this and forgot about the time hahaha

The whole "can you speak more slush" never fails to make me laugh. I love how the camera just focuses on Jin while the others are just having random weird conversations in the background. He just has that look of an older brother whose like "ahh.. these kids..."

Kookielove82

Can’t wait for more episodes Kate be prepared 💜

Laura Moore

Just so you don’t get too worried they have a scene where they are all talking and chatting and only Jungkook isn’t there. It’s not because he was still hurt or ill, but because they are drinking some and he still wasn’t legal drinking age in the country they were in. (Drinking age in Korea is 20, more like 18 or 19 in international age. But BTS tries to respect laws of each country and avoid any scandal)

amberrr

please try to avoid talking a lot during the video. i really want you guys to catch every detail. if you need to, pause the video to talk! thank you guys for this! love you! ❤️

I know you will be crying on the next episode ! :/ I got teary eyed when it showed more :( ♡

I love how much they talked about what ARMY means to them here and how that magnifies their performance and energy. The 2nd part of this episode starts showing us more of the members behind the scenes struggles. Wings Era was like a crucible for BTS. They came out of it better and stronger but it was hard on them. The theme was so artistic and each member had to develop their solo songs and performance. Jimin specifically was battling a body image/eating disorder that he was struggling through at the beginning of the comeback. He started taking better care if himself and balancing his life out more after this.

HeatherG

Suga had already released his mix tape prior to Wings Era, he still overworking himself here of course but he started to come out of his shell a bit more, you'll see that next episode. Hmmm..I'll leave it at that for now. Love this series thank you so much Josh and Cait!💜💜💜

As much as I like their dorky sides, Burn the Stage shows more serious and "human" side of them. So I love watching these videos with you guys and can't wait for the next episode!

Fun fact: Jimin has said that it was this moment in Chile, when he was so hard on himself, that inspired his solo song, Promise. He said that it was after that moment that he made a promise with himself not too put himself down and believe in himself. Lie, the solo he performed, was so dark and represented some of the struggles the other commenter discussed. Jimin was going through some very serious and dark issues. Personally, I think the Love Yourself era was heavily inspired by his experiences. His solo songs after this such as Serendipity and Promise, really reflect how he was trying to come out of that dark period and heal emotionally.

Burn the stage really shows how much bts goes through to put on a show. We never know but they perform so amazingly because of their love for music and army. I hope they know army doesnt expect them to be perfect. Army just wants to be beside bts and enjoy the times we have together.

I thought he said that it was after Citifield. He had been working on his solo song, but everything was rather negative and dark, but after their Citifield concert he looked out and that's when he decided on Promise, and the song became a lot lighter.

Wait... have you uploaded episode 2 and 3? I can't find them

where did they say that that is the reason he wasn't there? how do you know?

I am just watching this for the first time in May 2020 (although I have seen many clips on Youtube). I am also a big fan of Shawn Mendes and I see so many similarities between them. They are all perfectionists who are incredibly connected to their fans. Shawn and BTS are always showing gratitude to their fans and realize that the fans helped get them where they are. Something that Jungkook said in this episode hit me as something similar to what I have heard Shawn say in the past. JK said something like "I may never be this good again". Shawn once said that his parents and other people often say to him "Don't be so hard on yourself...you're only 17 " (he is 22 now) and his response was.."Yes, but this might be the most ME I'll ever be". I think they have a lot in common. Obviously perfectionism is a trait shared by super successful artists. I have also heard Shawn say that Taylor Swift changed his perspective when she told him "People don't come to your concert because you are perfect, they come because you are you". He said he has felt much more relaxed since accepting that. I hope these guys will feel that way too...they are amazing. Would love to see a BTS/Shawn collaboration some day.....my life would be complete...lol.
