Rescue Pet: Mona Age: 22 Status: Deceased Owner. Pet Under HPPS care.  

Sometime the relationship between an owner and a pet can be very deeply emotional, and an untimely separation can be problematic.
Such as the case of Mona, whose owner passed away unexpectedly 4 months before her service will end. After living under long loving and caring ownership, the poor little pup just cannot handle the lost of her beloved master, and is still grieving.
Mona has spent the past few days lying on her owner's old clothes, wallowing in his scent and crying herself to sleep most nights. We at the HPPS kennel hope that we can help her feel better soon by taking care of her and introducing her to other rescues.
Whatever it will be. Mona's gonna need a lot of love, before she can be put up for the next adoption.

Have you ever read a story about a pup who mourns its owner? yup, that's exactly what this is. It's definitely not a case of Stockholm syndrome ;)
We will take good care of poor Mona, right? <3
