Just what I needed!! I have used a rice cooker for 40 + years and do not know if I could cook rice on a stove if I had too! That’s a prep!!! Thanks for jiggling my mind!!

Thanks AP. Tomorrow I'm making rice pilaf with curried lamb. The method for cooking my rice pilaf is very similar to this. The main difference is that I stir the oil into the rice before adding the water. Much Love

AP I use chicken or beef broth along with a little butter and water for the rice. For me the quickest and easiest way to cook rice is in the Instant Pot. It takes 3 mins to cook and a 10 min natural release. Comes out perfect every time.

Yummmm thanks for sharing as I’m terrible at cooking rice! Lol

I agree with Roger Wilber. Put the Moderators name in an empty N.S. can and pull out a winneer if I win

I don't think I've ever added an oil to rice. Will give that a try.

I haven’t cooked rice on the stovetop for 30 years. Thanks for the reminder!

2023-02-21 07:33:12 Alaska Prepper, I love rice, could easily live off it, & potatoes. I make a big pot for supper, but save leftover, serve for breakfast with cinnamon, honey & milk. My mom did this, she always stretched meals. Your recipes are now included in my book. Silver will barter for a lot of goods down the road, we have learned a lot from you. Thankyou from the bottom of our hearts.

WOW! I have PTSD from trying to cook rice in my younger days and was an absolute failure. My mom was born and raised in the eastern part of South Carolina and down there they had rice twice a day, every day. Needless to say, she knew how to cook perfect rice but I didn't inherit that gene so only use a rice cooker. They also loved eating the part stuck to the pan. I must try your method AP, you made it look so easy. Will let ya know my results (:). Thanks!
