Have been waiting for a few months for our local Costco to get the foil back in. The only one they carry now is the Reynolds which is about 1/3 the amount for almost the price of their Kirkland big sized foil. The last time I got plastic wrap from Sams I returned it as it was extremely flimsy. Not sure if it was a bad batch or what. I get that from Costco now but they are out of stock where I live. Does anyone know if the usage life of the AA or AAA batteries has as long of a life as the C and D batteries if I use them in the adapters? Also, keep your eyes peeled in Walmart. Over the past 3 months I have found spaghetti pasta in two different stores, different towns at different times on sale for 10 cents a pound. Today I stumbled upon this again. They are usually in the shipping boxes and the sign reads 10 cents or 10 for $1 and are usually at the end caps in the grocery section. I was told in one city that it was because they had gotten a batch from HQ at Christmas at one particular store and hadn't sold it but to find it at more than one store leasds me to believe it was something else. Anyway, keep your eyes peeled.

I keep trying to tell my mom to buy the pepper corns and put it away, but she likes pre-ground. So i have some of that. Dollar tree has some really good prices of salt and spices. You can use NORI as an additive to food, small flakes for iodine, dulse, esp if you are allergic to shell fish. Salt preserves foods too, like making pickles and sauerkraut and salt beef and salt fish. If you can afford a galvanized trash can, that would be a good place to store bags of salt or bags of sugar with a snug metal lid.
