I read a science article about 20 years ago, testing the islands and waters where they used atomic testing prior to the destruction of the two Japanese towns. One of the tests for radioactive fallout was with the sea water around the islands, which showed a dramatic reduction of radiation activity so that it was deemed safe waters, esp around the islands that were experimented on, was that in the Bikinis? anyway, there was marked reduction of any radioactivity due to the reaction in the sea water, there's either the tiny plankton animals or some kind of chemical binding that eats the radiation in the water. But in solid material, such as on the island itself at the GZ, the radiation was still strong. So there is little worry for me about sea water and the letting out of the "HOT" water from the plant.
