Look, I'm up to 70 buckets of food. Just had 50 more buckets delivered to my house. Will likely by 500 lb of pintos, 200 lb of rice before the weekend. Will get pickling lime and learn how to perform nixtamal ization on my corn. My Walmart is full. They always stock shelves during the day. This is getting to be histrionics. I'll continue to put up food, but there have always been plenty of peas, plenty of canned meat. Not saying it's good, but this is just the nature of just-in-time manufacturing. Do I trust the system? No. Just, take a breath.

I may have been unfair to you about Walmart aisles. Found peas/green beans to be low at my local store. ..... Even found 20# bags of rice to be low. On POSITIVE: Pintos have come down $2/100 lbs ... surprised. (Now $50, black beans @$58). Getting 200 lbs of each. The difference is unimportant. Stick to prepping food.

Alaska Prepper

Wow, they are low on rice, I noticed this week that the long grain rice I normally buy was out of stock as well; the more expensive one was still in stock though. I look at buying food preps like buying precious metals; I dollar cost average so even if it's a bit more than last time, more than likely, it will just keep going up in price so I just buy what I can with what I had budgeted and don't worry too much about the price but still like to look around to find the best price available.
