And so we start the best part of the anime adaptation and one of the best stories in SAO overall. Yes Asuna could absolutely give Kirito a run for his money, he might win in the end through using some random ass shit to throw her off and catch her off guard, but without a broken Unique skill like Dual Wielding they are about equals. Also yes, Kirito lost, wouldn't be the first time, keep in mind he lost to Heathcliff and would have been dead if not for Asuna interfering and only won in the end because Heathcliff let himself be killed after seeing Asuna and Kirito surpass the system. Also Death Gun, someone he defeated back in Aincrad, would have beaten him if Sinon didn't interfere, he was going all out both times.
