The subtitles are weird when u use unofficial websites to watch anime. Those were the unofficial subs for the show which is why they kept calling Meliodas "Leader" instead of "Captain" like normally. The official subs are on Netflix

Yes but before this comment did you have any reason to assume anything bad about Merlin. Also their comment just straight up implies that Merlin is gonna do something so bad to the point Neel would dislike the character when he has no reason whatsoever to see that coming.
