AoiOni

amazing

John Brooks

This is one that I prefer the English DUB voices more than the SUB

Robin

10 is the highest

AoiOni

Yes i normally do watch sub, but I think overlord is one where the dub is better than the sub.

Ryuuji Gremory

10th Tier is the highest tier that exists for normal spells, so Ainz opened up with a spell just one below the strongest, Grasp heart is an instant death spell that also stuns the target if the instant death effect is resisted, then went down to 5th tier for the next attack. While 5th Tier might be the half of 10th tier the power scaling is often rather exponential than linear, so a 10th Tier spell isn't just twice as strong as a 5th tier spell, it's waaay more powerful than that.

Saber Sells

I like both sub and dub, But I also prefer dub for overlord.

Fireheart310

Monster Context: Death Knight - A level 35 undead monster with the attack power of a lvl 25 and defense of a 40. 2 special skills they have *not actual names* 1) drawing Aggro 2) Last Stand - ability to survive one killing blow with 1HP as long as a certain amount of hp remains no matter how strong said attack is (can only be used once) Anybody killed by a death knight turns into a lvl 17 Squire Zombie while the number of squire zombies that can be made is limited squire zombies can turns those they kill into ordinary zombies without limit. Once the death knight is killed all zombies will revert to corpses.

Mikie Churchill

Yeah honestly I'm all for subs in Anime, except overlord. Idk why but the dub just hits good af

A little bit of context about the power-scaling that we´ve seen so far (i will keep things that haven´t been shown yet to an absolute minimum, so this information, while being accurate, is intentionally partially incomplete!): Level-wise: first of all: it is unknown if there is a maximum level in this world. It is even unclear if you can increase your level or not (because "level" is not a term that is used by the inhabitants of this world). Keep in mind, that "level" is a term only used by Ainz and us viewers to express a power-scaling based on the game of Yggdrasil. Momonga: Level 100 (max-level back in Yggdrasil) Head Warrior Gazef: ~ 30 Albedo: 100 Soldiers and the company of Gazef: probably ~10 Average non-trained human (like the girl Momonga saved): below 6 Death Knight: level 35 Magic-wise: Tiered magic goes up to 10, with 10 being the highest Tier and 1 being the lowest. - Grasp Heart is a 9th Tier instakill-spell that well, kills anything that doesnt resist instakill-magic. Even if the spell is resisted, it will stun the affected target briefly. (Ainz not only chose this spell because it is one of his favourite spells, but he also chose it specifically to test the average power-level of inhabitants of the world. he would have instantly had a rough understanding of how strong the enemy is based on if they resist the spell or not, while still staying relatively safe due to the stun-effect that happens when it actually gets resisted) Also (i´m mentioning this in advance, just in case): you may want to pay attention to a few little details throughout the entire series. there may or may not be events that happen in due time (or maybe have already happened, i won´t tell you though), that will become important (or at least, get referenced) later on. Ofc i´ll stop right here and not tell you anything beyond that, because that could be considered an indirect spoiler, but you may want to keep your eyes open for a lot of little details whenever you watch an episode. the writing about the different world is also very intriguing. Basically, so far i thas been confirmed that: 1. it is in fact a different world, not a video game 2. Ainz and his NPC's still have their original powers/skill they had in the game (even though the NPC's became sentient) and that is basically already where it ends. Even as the viewer, we are just as much in the dark as the characters (Ainz in particular) about where we are, what is happening in the world (for all perspectives, general things, politics, we´ve heard adventurers exist but don´t exactly know what they do etc) and the power-scaling (even though i already mentioned a few things, i don´t consider power-scaling already being clarified, since we´ve seen so few encounters so far) Ofc, those that have read the Light Novel (the source material of the anime) or watched the show already know a bit more, but even as the viewer (that often is "all-seeing" in many shows), we´re still left in the dark for the most part (except that we briefly see events the MC doesn´t observe)

TAC Genesis

one thing ab out the show is that they never really delve into the power levels for whatever reason

demonic-myst
