(akari?) redesign (Patreon)

hi! i wanted to show wips of this character i'm working on.
together with kawa, we're trying to make a design that will stick with me for a bit longer than what my newer ocs did. we started from akari's design and supposedly were to redesign her just slightly, but experimenting i got carried away so this might become a new character entirely.

i planned for long to bring my art towards a more outfit/fashion centered type of illustration, mostly focusing on lolita and its various subcultures, cult party kei and visual kei.
i want an OC that helps me embrace these cultures so i can easily expand my art around it, while also incorporating gloomier and more serious undertones as i always wanted.

people who have been following me for a while, even in my deviantart days, may know i've always enjoyed darker themes and gloomier, gory and eerie pieces; especially involving this kind of victorian fashion. I'd love to be recognized for it, and i'm striving to mix modern style art with the classic vibe of these clothes.

About this new character or supposed redesign, i'll gladly apreciate name suggestions!
For now i had Nunilo in mind and i think it suits them; their lore is similar to Akari's, involving religious themes and parasites of some sort, but i have yet to decide a story for them.

I'll update this post with the new versions of the design every once in a while; i'm very excited and i hope it's not bothersome!
