Foundry V11 Update & TC Modules Not Installing (Patreon)
Content
UPDATE 01 - July 4th 2023:
Hi everyone, thanks so much for your patience with this! I am very happy to let you know that all of our Foundry Modules are now updated and will work on V11 (and will also still work on V9 and V10).
Please note that for the moment, only the embedded download links (where it says DOWNLOAD HERE at the top of the post) and the Manifest URLs have been updated. The attached zip files (found at the bottom of each post) have not yet been updated. I will fix this soon and let you know when it is ready.
Please everyone thank Dagonzo for working so hard on getting these updated so quickly. For those of you who don't know Dag does the vast majority of our Foundry VTT map modules.
If you happen to find any modules we accidentally missed, please let me know!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey everyone!
If you have already updated to the new stable version of Foundry V11 (V11.300) you may have noticed that you are unable to install our foundry modules due to how we set up the modules in previous versions.
We have a fix for updating all of our existing modules, which we are going to start doing immediately. My plan is to do it in batches by series. We will start with the most recent 'Bharzul' maps, then 'Ruin & Rebuild' and so on in reverse chronological order until they are all updated. This is going to take a little while though as we have to got through each module one-by-one to update and test, so while we are doing this we won't be releasing any new Foundry packs.
Hopefully it won't take more than a couple of weeks, but we'll keep you updated. The updated modules will be compatible with Foundry versions 9-11, so if you are still running V8 or lower, you may want to consider updating to at least V9.
If you want to keep using our modules in the mean time, we recommend holding off from updating to V11 for just a little while longer.
Future Foundry Content
Any new Foundry modules/scenes created in V11 are also not backwards compatible, meaning if we start creating new modules in V11, everyone would need to update to V11 access them.
Alternatively we can keep creating the modules in V10 for the time being, and make them compatible with V9-V11 using the new fix, but this will mean we can't use the new V11 functionality and mechanics, such as proximity walls.
To get a better idea of what would work best for everyone, please vote in this poll so I can get a good idea of which versions of Foundry everyone is using or planning to use.
EDIT - This is due to an issue on our end with the way the metadata was entered, and nothing to do with the new Foundry database, which is backwards compatible with everything created in V9 onwards.
