Would love to join Splattered Ink as a Patreon, but it tells me "i cant join this creators membership" :(

Darryl is taking a break this month from Patreon as he wraps up his recent Kickstarter. He should be back soon and once he is you'll be able to support him.

Sick dude, perfect for my dragonlance campaign!

OK, so they're free so I can't complain too much (although I am a cheap-o Cartos supporter.) But is it just me or are these BBEG tokens quite generous in the surrounding transparent space? Most of my other tokens take up the majority of a square, and my maps are big-ish so these end up being tiny on the screen and hard to see. (Esp. the medium ones...) Sure I can crop the ones I want to use....

tomcartos

We size out tokens to real world size, the same as our maps, so a humanoid would be 2-2.5ft wide at the shoulders or half a square. Some other creators choose to make their tokens fill the square, but they means they are about 5ft wide which is twice the size of a regular person and would make all of the items on the maps seem very small.

Matt Carlson

Awesome. That makes sense. I think of tokens as tokens (ie. abstract representation rather than attempt at scale) so I like them big enough to easily tell between them from a larger view. As you say, I can certainly size up the ones I want to use and would not want to burden anyone to make a second, custom style. Thanks for the clarification.

Somehow Variant04 Reminds me of Ash from League of Legends and I can't unsee this now :D Anyway, awesome tokens as always!
