Awaken is a Fifth Edition adventure for three to five characters of 5th to 7th level and is optimized for a party of four characters with an average party level (APL) of 5. Although the adventure sees a fair amount of combat, it also requires critical thinking and roleplaying. Players who only wish to fight their way out of situations may not enjoy this adventure.

The adventure takes place as part of the Mystery Island adventure series but is otherwise setting agnostic. This entire adventure and its related parts can be placed into any campaign setting of your choice. You may run this adventure just as it is, but you may also combine this adventure with the other adventures in the Mystery Island series, returning to sections of this adventure where appropriate. Tips for weaving the adventures together are included throughout the document.

Backstory

Far out in the middle of the ocean stands an island of sand, rock, jungle, and creatures. This island isn’t on any map. It isn’t in any history books. No sea shanties share songs of its existence. No, this island is a total mystery. For centuries, it’s trapped explorers, both domestic and extraterrestrial, within its watery borders. Humanoid, animal, fiend, or celestial, no one has ever been able to escape Mystery Island.

"Mystery Island" originally had a much different name when we were round tabling this concept lol

Thanks so much for the map complication. I spent a good 30 minutes sorting through all the maps on the site, trying to get them to match up with the adventure... I think I was still missing a couple but now they're all in one place.. Hmm... I see the repackaged maps are gridded (and I prefer ungridded as my VTT ones) but the combined package is probably still helpful for me to figure out the missing ones...

tomcartos

Hey Matt, the ungridded hi res variants of the maps are part of the forgemaster tier pack, this is the free one. I can put together a set of just the ungridded maps for all patron tiers, but I'm away for the weekend so it won't be until Sunday.

Matt Carlson

Yeah, I was aware that was just the free ones (and clearly the higher priority...) if you were to put together a set for us patrons (i'm a cheap Traveler) it would be awesome and save me some work... (Like I mentioned, I'm most interested in the gridless ones, so the alternate art isn't as big a deal... )
