Dropbox 404 Messages (Patreon)

April 5th UPDATE 06 - After working with the dropbox technicians today, I have had the block removed again and they have temporarily increased my download limit until I am fully transferred over to the new system. That means that all links should now be live, so if you were having any issues over the weekend, they should be resolved.
I have transferred all content since June 2020 to MyAirBridge (more info on MAB here), and will continue working on the rest in the background.
Hopefully this should be the last of the problems on your end, but please do let me know if you have any more issues accessing the content.
--------------------------------------------------------
April 3rd UPDATE 05 - Dropbox placed the block on the account again on Friday evening, and their customer support is closed over the weekend so I won't be able to get the block removed until Monday or Tuesday.
I have updated about 50% of the back catalogue so far, so everything from the last 8-9 months, as well as all of the Into the Wilds series, should already be accessible via zips attached to the posts or Myairbridge links embedded in the posts (more info on MAB here). Manifest URLs for Foundry packs are also currently blocked, but you can still download the zip file attached to the post and install manually. Instructions on how to do so are in a read me file in each pack.
I am working on doing everything else in reverse chronological order, so older posts will be the last to be updated, but I hope to be done by the middle of the coming week. If you need anything urgently before then, please message me to let me know or comment on the blocked post.
--------------------------------------------------------
UPDATE 04 - Looks like Dropbox has made a liar of me, so more updates incoming. They have banned the account again for exceeding the download limit, despite the actions I have taken and conversations I had with them yesterday. I have escalated the issue to their special team to resolve.
In the mean time I will be working through the night to get everything transferred ASAP. All content from the last 4 months is still accessible.
If you need anything urgently let me know and I will prioritise it. Otherwise I will be doing all the Into the Wilds sets first, then going backwards chronologically through everything else.
--------------------------------------------------------
UPDATE 03 (Last one I promise) - I have now transferred all content from the last 4 months to the new dropbox account, and as a backup have also started adding ZIP files to the Patreon posts via the Patreon uploader.
These aren't ideal as the Patreon uploader is fairly limited in function (which is why I used Dropbox in the first place), but it means you will always have a way to access your content. So far I have added these backups to all of this months releases, and will continue to do so for all new releases and will update older releases over time.
Also all free (public) releases from now on will be downloadable via the Patreon ZIP files only, which should greatly reduce the volume of downloads, keeping the Dropbox freed up for Patrons.
--------------------------------------------------------
UPDATE 02 - The ban on my dropbox account has been lifted and all links should be functioning as normal again. I will continue to transfer some of them to other accounts to spread the load, and will look into alternative solutions and back ups to prevent loss of access in the future.
In the mean time, please don't do bulk downloads of all or lots of my content at once. Instead make yourselves familiar with my content and come and grab the different sets as and when you need them, or spread out your downloads over a number of days.
Thanks to all of you for your patience and understanding, and for helping me manage the situation.
--------------------------------------------------------
UPDATE 01 - I have re-uploaded all of the files from this month to a new Dropbox account and updated the links (everything from the DungeonDraft Megapack onwards), so those should all be accessible to you now.
The only things I am not able to update yet are the Foundry packs for Forgemaster Patrons as the Manifest URLs are also linked elsewhere, but I will rectify this soon.
In theory all the other links should be back up and working within the next 6-8 hours, but I will continue to transition them to the new system in the background to stop this happening again in the future.
Those of you who use the Print versions of the files will also note that the file sizes are much smaller now. I have had to compress them in order to keep the downloads to a minimum. I have managed to reduce them by around 90%, with very minimal loss of quality (you will only see it if you go above 100% zoom). Not only will this help with managing downloads, but will speed things up for you and reduce your storage requirements as well, and is probably something I should have looked into a while ago.
Please let me know in the comments if you continue to have issues with this months releases. Everything has worked ok so far in testing. I will continue to keep you all updated.

Hi Everyone,
I have had comments and messages from a number of you that you are receiving 404 error messages when trying to access my content on Dropbox. I have contacted Dropbox and apparently they have put a temporary 24 hour ban on my account as I had exceeded a download limit in a set period of time. This ban will be removed within 24 hours and in the mean time I will be transferring a large number of the links to stop this happening again in the future.
Unfortunately Dropbox did not make me (or anyone) aware of this limit, it is not included in any of their literature and is entirely hidden from the user until the limit is breached, causing the 24 hour ban, which is an appalling system to say the least.
I am deeply sorry for the inconvenience and have submitted a complaint to the Dropbox superiors.
I will keep you all updated and let you know when the links are live again, but as I said it should be within 24 hours.
Let me know in the comments if you have any questions.
Tom
