September Release Schedule and The Rest of 2020 (Patreon)

Hi Everyone!

I have a few things to talk to you about for the release schedule for this month, and a couple of ideas I have for the rest of the year.

September Release Schedule

The releases this month are likely to be a bit irregular for a couple of reasons. Firstly I am moving back to my home country at the end of this week (all being well) after being trapped abroad for the last 6 months due to the global pandemic. With long distance travel still being quite disrupted this is going to take a few days, so there will be no new Map Set or Into the Wilds map this coming weekend, but both will be ready next week instead.

On top of that I am involved in two really fun collaborations that are coming out this month that I think you will all enjoy, but they are currently slated to release at about the same time, so there will probably be 3 new map sets in the space of about a week in the middle of the month. The last set of the month should be released as normal, which will be the first map of our new theme chosen by you 'Return to the Big City'.

The Rest of the Year

For the last year or so, since I started this Patreon, I have effectively been working 7 days a week not stop. I am incredibly grateful for all of your support and I truly love doing this, so it never really feels like work and I am happy to put in the time to continue making new artwork for you all. But having said that, every artist or creator has to be aware of the possibility of burn out. 

For this reason I am planning to reduce my map set releases to 3x per month instead of 4x in October, November and December. This will give me some time to recharge, and also spend some time with family and friends I haven't been able to see since last year (see being stuck abroad above). 

Instead I would like to commission some of the other very talented artists and cartographers from the TTRPG community to contribute something for you all for the 4th release of each of those 3 months. These will be things you can still use in your campaigns, and will match my art style as much as possible, but will be something other than battlemaps to give you something a little different. I have set up a poll for patrons HERE to vote on what they would like this to be. The options are things like Town & City Maps, Region or World Maps, Perspective Illustrations, Isometric maps etc.

For those of you at the Builder and Forgemaster tiers, I will still release a new asset pack and Foundry VTT module for these weeks, so you won't be missing out, and Adventure Modules and Tokens will be delivered as usual for Adventurer Tier patrons.
