Hello Travellers!

This weeks map was a commissioned piece that the client has kindly allowed me to share with you all. The maps are based on the Warhammer FRP system's 'Grunewald Lodge' in the 'Eye for an Eye' module, if you would like to look up the adventure.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The party makes camp one night as they travel through the woods to their next destination. One by one they fall asleep, leaving a single lookout. Sometime in the middle of the night a howling can be heard, and in an instant the party are surrounded by half man, half beast monstrosities. They are able to beat back the first wave, but more howling nearby suggests that flight would be in their best interests.

Pursued through the night, only just ahead of the creatures and running on fumes, the party spots a watchtower and smoke rising a little way in the distance. They head in that direction in hope of reprieve and come upon a walled lodge. The guards usher them in and help fight back the monsters as they close the gates.

The party are welcomed in by the owner of the Lodge, a young human man who introduces himself as Hirshan, a younger son of a lesser noble house. He says he has 'retired' to the lodge to escape the city life for a time. After being shown around, it becomes apparent to the party that many of the inhabitants have fallen ill and are being cared for in a makeshift hospice in one of the guest bedrooms. Hirshan tells them not to worry however and says they can stay as long as they wish, but when they try to leave every excuse is made to ensure they do not. The gates can not be opened due to the monsters outside.

Any of the party who partake of the food and drink provided by Hirshan will also start to fall ill, and it seems that some of those who were previously in the hospice are no longer there, their bodies seemingly vanished. Will the party discover the cause of the illness? Will they find the hidden chambers below? What exactly is behind the blue curtain in the drawing room? And will they make it out alive?

Not sure if it's okay to ask, but what program do you use for making these? I just want to make a home base for my players!

Hi Vincent, of course! You're welcome to ask whatever you like. I make all of my maps and assets in photoshop. I use textures from Textures.com for some of the floors and walls.

Hi Tom, I'm enjoying your maps that have been released in roll20. I have two questions for you today. First, are gridless versions of the free maps available (in $1 tier for example)? Second, do you plan to bring all of this content to roll20? Since built-in maps don't count against our asset storage I prefer to collect it there, and I'd rather not double-pay (here and in the marketplace). If you could make it clear what will and will not be brought over, it will help clarify the value proposition of supporting you in both places. Thanks!

Hi Camelotcrusade, Thank you very much, I'm really glad you're enjoying the maps. Yes, you can get gridless versions of all of the free maps at the $1 Tier, as well as the night variants. I will be releasing all of my content on Roll20, but it will generally be on an 8-10 week delay after release on Patreon.
