Background

Automaton Atakebune is a Fifth Edition adventure designed for four to six 3rd-level characters, but the adventure includes guidelines for scaling encounters and treasure to suit parties of up to 10th-level. A massive floating fortress (atakebune) has been attacking towns and villages in the archipelago. The characters are hired to sneak on board the ship and disable its crew before it causes any more damage.
