Well, earlier I asked about if its okay to also post my other hobby, which is about cars, majorly my own ones.

This post is about my 2002 Lexus IS200 (also known as Toyota Altezza in Japan).

I always wanted one of these things when I was younger as I liked it in Gran Turismo and two years ago I got one for a pretty affordable price because it had a little damage near the left tail light, which didnt bother me at all and some camouflage wrap made the damage nearly invisible.

So the next things I did was buying two new headlights as the old ones were blind after almost 18 years, and these things were anything but cheap XD
Then I took the headlights to paint their inlays black, like some japan models had it from stock, which I found pretty cool, the same I did with the tail lights as I didnt like the chrome-design x3

I also replaced the engine as the previous owner killed it with a compressor kit (or super charger if you insist), and so the car ran super smooth and it was such a cozy driving, perfect for traveling. <3

This year I started to remove the heavily worn car wrap to have it back to its original arctic silver tone, just to fnd out some parts were "repaired", probably smoothened out dents etc, so I thought about a part-wrap design which you can see in the progress, which I did just a week ago.

I finished everything on time before my little vacation trip to a dear friend of mine, which was cleaning, adding an original altezza-badge, the car wrap, painting the wheels new and a bunch of minor things for the car care and maintenances to keep this car in good condition for a long and reliable life.

But some idiots decided to dont have me lasting the luck of a car that is done and no more larger fork for many months.

So on a trip thats usually ~500km, I was already driving around 470km when suddenly a truck appeared on the other lane, driving in opposite directon, when it apeared from behind a corner (there is nothing wrong with traffic on the other side of the road usually XD), it was dark and a bit foggy too, so I didnt see anything comming when suddenly a damn heavy impact, loud noise and wind noises, all at once, scared me to death out of nowhere and I had absolutely no clue what was going on.

After I was glad I stopped the car without getting off the road (from 90+kph), I just felt my eyes and face being full of glass (so was my whole upper body), from an aluminium-beam that shot right through my front windshield, blocked off by my steering wheel and went far enough to go through the passenger window.

I was just like... what the actual feck just happened until I realized WHAT happened, being total in shock I didnt even realized my steering wheel resuced my life, just one inch higher and this piece of metal would have straight go through my face and who knows if I'd still sit here...

The truck driver just didnt even bother to stop and just dissapeared, left me all alone, while I could have been heavily injured or worse, if I had a passenger, they'd be definetly heavily injured at last, but from there my mind could go on and on with all the "what if" questions, for now I am just thankful to be here, to be alive, to be thankfully not blind from shattered glass etc.

Thankfully some people stopped by, helped me and took care of me before the police and ambulance arrived, which drove me off to a hospital for a check-up for left over shattered glass in my eyes and thankfully it was "just" a bruise on my eye ball next to my blue iris, which looks still scary, but it will hopefully heal well.

After the check up I took a Taxi to my friend's place (where I noticed how effin expensive a taxi can be, but the driver was nice), also took care of some insurance things, they pay my taxi ticket and the trailer service which got my car from the accident location to their ground, but everything else is on me, which is all the fixing and getting my car back home.

So far, after a few days after, I am still haunted by my brain repeating the moment in my head and thoughts of what could have happened if... and such, but I feel a bit better already thanks to my dear friends who dont let me alone in this time of bad luck (with a bunch of good luck as nothing seriously worse happened to me).

So after observing the damage on my car I realized it IS fixable and I really really dont want to give up on it because of a stupid ass that wasnt able to secure their load well and risked the life of other people and after all the effort and money I put in it myself.

I have opened a donation pool two days ago after my roomie at home and a few other friends chatted with me about what to do and so far I got a very positive feedback and a bunch of awesome people already donated to help me and its slowly growing to the amount I roughly calculated out to get my car home and fix it, to resuce my car which saved my life.

if anyone of you wants to donate, here is a link to Ko-Fi https://ko-fi.com/djdarkfox
it works very good for donations, I have no clue if extra donating works on Patreon as well >w<

Please do not feel forced to donate, but if you do, be sure even the smallest amounts help and are appreciated with all my heart. <3<3

And of course, if all works as I planned, I will keep all of you on track with the further progress. <3

Thank you so so much for reading the longest post I have ever written here and for any kind of support you give. <3
