Sorry we're two days late.  Over the past couple of days, several non-game-related issues have bubbled up, and prevented me from finding time to write an update.

We were able to reconcile the arguments that cropped up between our audio engine, and the updated skybox.  While things are not 100% (you'll notice the lack of decent fog,) we're slowly hooking everything back up.

In addition, I spent a few days re-creating a couple of variations of the new overland power grid.  While we've got the pole climb & dismount pretty much nailed, we're still not 100% on the "elevated highway."  The cats still tend to slip & fall far more than they should.

Aside from their utility as an “Elevated Highway,” I also like how they add a bit of visual “urban clutter.”  Their asymmetric positioning & slant offsets the regular placement and horizontal lines that dominate the structures.  It makes things look just a bit more realistic.

They were removed at some time during the sector building process, and it’s good to have them back, at long last.

I am making a final, step-by-step review of the entire island’s architecture, to find & fix the remaining issues with stairs.  Laura recently did a pass, and I was surprised at the number of missing colliders that she found.  Fortunately, fixing these is relatively easy.

I have also noticed that we still have a few consistent collider issues when it comes to one or two rocks that the cats encounter in the midland biome, and on the rocky shores.  Fixing those is my highest personal in-game priority, after hooking up the remaining Beta interiors, which are:

The School, the Town Hall, the Library, and the Mayor’s House.  

TO THOSE WHO HAVE CONTRIBUTED ENOUGH TO GET THEIR NAME MENTIONED IN THE GAME:

We have received over 1,000 assignment requests, and have (to our knowledge) processed & confirmed 99.3% of them. However, we confess that we are a bit behind in creating & placing these mentions within the game - with only about 5-7% completed.

However:

Over the next week, we will unfortunately have to “lock down” the project for a few days, so that we can migrate Peace Island to a render pipeline better suited for such an advanced game.  During this time, I will be catching  up on that, until we reach (at least) 25% of necessary assets created for such mentions.

Understand: while some mentions (such as wedding registry entries) might be simple, there are others that are far more complex.  

While we continue to be cognisant of the implications of using such services, we are also grateful that AI tools like Midjourney allow us to create such complex mentions on a level that would be previously WAY beyond the budget of a project of our size.

How long it will take us to complete all extant 1,000 in-game mentions, I can only speculate.  However, if we are successful in completing approximately 190 mentions over four days, it is conceivable we could have all of them done in time for the Beta.
