Filming is DONE! (Patreon)

Sinking Ships was filmed in my home studio, curtains drawn and with all artificial lights. For My Immortal, we used natural light and added some additional lights as needed. I'm looking forward to seeing what Cristina edits together! Wooo!
Now, I have to hurry and record the final things for the arrangement. I have the piano, vocals and some backgrounds. Today, I spent the morning working on strings. I'll review it tomorrow and hopefully there are enough ideas there to piece together the arrangement.
It feels nice to have such a clear goal in sight. A deadline. Instead of pressure, I feel a weight off my shoulders... to think that no matter what, the arrangement will be done and over. If it doesn't work out fabulously, I can always try again in the future, but I will keep moving forward no matter what.
I read the following sentence recently and haven't stopped thinking of it since:
"Instead of creating freely and allowing errors to reveal themselves later as insights, we often get mired in getting the details right." (The Artist's Way)
This is such a healthier perspective. To embrace and appreciate errors for the insights they truly are, rather than to think of them as shortcomings... It makes working sound a lot more hopeful, no? And fun.
Alrighty, thanks for reading. I'll share more as soon as I can!
Hugs,
Malu
