Hey guys!

I managed to [clumsily] film a bit of the process of mounting the last of the acoustic panels in the studio! A couple of you had asked how it works, so I hope this can show you. :)

I ran the sound analysis test again and the reverb in the room did go down a bit more! Wooo! Here's the image I had shared in the previous video (the Finally in the Studio one):

And here's where we're at now after these extra panels on the side walls. As you can see, we are now in the .300 - .400 millisecond range, spending more time in the .300's rather than the .400's which is great!

For now, I will keep the room at this reverb level. I'm concerned that if I add too much treatment, then it will sound "dead" and uninspiring. To me, it feels awkward to sing and play guitar when the sound doesn't carry and can't bounce back to you. When I used to sing in my old bedroom at my parents house, which was carpeted, I used to sit and sing in front of a full length mirror, just to be able to get a reflection of the sound. hahaha! I guess I've always been obsessed with reverb, huh?

I do have a plan for if I'm ever required to submit a completely dry recording for a project. I'll be doing some tests for this and sharing them over the weekend. It involves a slightly strange product that I'm hoping will surprise us and not be a gimmick. Hehehe!

Thank you for watching! And welcome to all of you who have recently joined. I hope you enjoy the extra bits and clips!

Big hug,

Malu
