So while I am not sure if you will see this or not, just to put a number to the Landings, 24,000 Airborne forces (13,100 Americans from the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions and 8,500 British and Canadians from the British 6th Airborne) jumped into Normandy before the invasion and on June 6th 132,000 Allied troops from 8 different nations landed on the 5 Beaches. At the end of it all Allied casualties (killed and wounded)were estimated to be at about 10,000 with 4,414 confirmed Killed in Action, about half the casualties came from the American Landing at Omaha Beach where about 43,000 men landed and an estimated 2,000-4,000 were killed or wounded.
