I agree with what you're saying just because it's hard to watch doesn't mean we should forget about it, it's good to know and remember the sacrifices that were made by those people, since half of Europe might have been uninhabited right now, and most people are not even aware of how likely that scenario has been. I didn't know much details about Chernobyl myself before watching it but after the show I read about it and watched other real footage documentaries and they have really done an amazing job to present the real events play by play and I would say it must be 80-90% accurate representation.

There are 2 more shows based on real events by HBO and it's about World War 2 - "Band of Brothers" and "The Pacific" , they are 10 episode mini-series and are just amazingly done definitely worth a watch as well, spectacularly shot.

Indeed, I was aware about the fact that it was bad, but now I feel like I never had any idea how bad it actually was. I honestly think everyone should have seen this show at least once, just to know the history and the people who sacrificed themselves for this.

Oh yes I know 'Band of Brothers', I've never seen it myself, but my dad loves that show, he even has the full dvd set. Maybe I should check these shows out as well sometimes!

If you have time for it in the future, I think it's worth the watch for sure! Also those kind of shows have a big fan-base, and I have noticed a lot of reactors recently going for "Band of Brothers" specifically, plus the show has a lot of familiar faces as well which you wouldn't expect to see. :)
