Hey everyone.

Can you believe it's already the end of the year? I remember announcing that DoC would be reaching an Alpha state at the end of 2023.

That milestone to me means that the game would be playable from start to finish, where every feature and story arc are present and fleshed out enough to give a good idea of what the final product will be like.

I'd say DoC in its current shape is around 80% of the way there, so my estimate was off. It still needs a whole new path for its "true" ending, and I have a lot of content to flesh out with the characters of the Bastion to integrate before having something I can call an Alpha.

I apologize for not getting it quite there yet.

So what's my plan for the future? I have announced to my boss a few weeks ago that I'll be quitting. My day job took a lot of time and energy, especially these last few months. We finally shipped the game we've been working on for the past 4 years, so most weeks were 50+ hours of work, usually more. I'll be leaving in February, so you can expect versions to get a lot bigger once that happens.

As for what's coming for December, I plan to expand on Abel's story some more. Once he confesses his feelings for you, he'll seek you out if you ever get exiled, where you can push him further into Corruption. If you stay pure, he'll be able to assist you in the final battle with Apothus, where you can end his reign successfully without becoming a monster yourself.

Also, if all goes well, the ending for the Lost Prisoner should be ready to integrate this month. This one will let you use the power of Nyx to become the true Apex predators of the Barrens, turning it into your hunting ground.

So these are the plans for December, I truly hope you all have a great holiday season and spread your gifts to those you love~ 😈💜

Congratulations on being able to leave the 9-5! And still pushing out many updates to this project while working so many hours.
