The Other Rebellion 3 - or ‘How the United States of Etheria came to be’ (Semi-Crackfic She-Ra, Human!SI)

Something the show didn’t mention when it comes to Dryl is the fact that there’s two political authorities in charge of it.

Princess Entrapta and the Noble Council. The former being the main representative of the Technocratic core tradition of the kingdom, while the latter was a corrupt group that handled some minimal stuff.

One would expect the council to be on top, but Entrapta’s ancestors were those that had established a rather unusual people-based governance where technology allowed for decisions to be drawn easily through polls rather than the establishment of representative bodies.

Of course, that wasn’t the perfect way to tackle the matter, but it had kept the Kingdom afloat in the last few centuries. So, when it came to diplomatic endeavors of the kind I was personally handling, a visit to Princess Entrapta was a must.

Now, the main reason why I was going solo was because the last two weeks have been quite intense on the front. With Mermista and the Kingdom of Salineas entering the Alliance shortly after the Republic did, some circumstances tied to the modest community of Salinean migrants had led to negotiations in regard to a double citizenship.

Where many of those that had migrated in the other free countries had taken steps to return back home, no one in the Etherian Republic sought to make the trek back home. Their reasoning was that ‘Salineas was home to their heart, but they lived better in their new homes’.

It was a circumstance well beyond Princess Mermista’s situation as the taxation adopted by the Republic was far lower compared to the one of her kingdom, plus the National Incentives for Construction allowed for Quality House-building to be viable at a relatively affordable price.

In a sense, regardless of her country fixing its doomsday scenario, that didn’t prevent people from favoring a cheaper and safer lifestyle despite the horde being at our guts. The defenses had been improved, yet the true worry came over the chances of the hostile troops using the Dryl’s border as a way to sneak around our troops and strike our exposed flank.

Thus, here I went to claim a potential alliance with Entrapta.

The reason why it was just me was… well, this world had zero clue on how to handle someone in the spectrum like her, which is why I decided to not take any risk and go in solo.

The Crypto Castle flaunted a renown impenetrable security through the use of numerous robots and machines, most of which were remade by Entrapta when those her parents made got too rusty and ruined to continue with their tasks. Effective in the chores around the house, but terribly unprepared for an infiltration of sort.

Specifically one as well-planned as the one I was taking part in entering the castle.

The Horde had left behind some spytech around that was reverse-engineered, and I had the chance to be one of the testers for a potential expansion of said technology. After being left by the border of the castle, I used a grappling hook to reach a high perch. From there, I breached through one of the outward vents that was big enough for me to crawl into.

There were no security means for this area to be checked, but I stopped a moment to activate my ‘Heat Flasher’ device spread all over my black one-piece suit. Wires and electronics lit up in red branches all over my body, warming up a bit, but emitting a peculiar heat that tended to leave cameras blinded.

In fact, as I finally descended by the lab and in front of the two robots standing at the entrance, I saw them turn their gazes away, unwilling to check the anomaly that I was due to the lack of programming to handle this sort of stuff.

The place was… devoid of Entrapta. Truth be told, I knew the girl could go out to fish out stuff that may catch her attention, but she had already claimed the one thing she was rather hooked about.

The Data Disk was… well, not a good piece of the First Ones’ tech. The only purpose that was known of it was its virus-like tendency to infest other technology of the similar kind. I wouldn’t say that it didn’t have other purposes, but it seemed to be rather earnest in infecting things rather than providing good info.

As I approached the disk, I saw it glow from angry red to… blue. And I saw it somewhat ‘calming’ down for some reason. I looked at the nearby terminal and I saw a chat window opening on the screen.

What are you?

I tilted my head to the side, curious to see if it could hear me.

“I am not from either Etheria or Eternia.”

The words vanished as new ones appeared.

Human?

“Yes.”

You say you are not from Eternia, but your DNA contains similarities to those born there. Except… it’s odd in some sections. Elaborate?

“My planet should be close enough in advance to Eternia. So, there’s that.”

Understood. Could you please tell me… why did this girl try to crack into my database?

“She is a curious one. Eternia has left this planet for a long time. And some of what they couldn’t clean up is still festering.”

Intriguing. I guess it explains the eagerness. I will be more open towards her then.

And the chat flickered away. A folder opened, and I walked up closer to the terminal to check it and… I have to say that I didn’t find it that interesting. Lots of ‘lore-material’ in terms of history, but not much to highlight specific technology worthy of almost destroying this castle.

I was so busy looking into it that I failed to notice a mane of dull purple hair suddenly wrapping around me. The chair I was sitting on was turned around and I was staring at… a very excited, quite creepy and outrageously cute-looking mad scientist.

“Hooooow did ya do that~?” Entrapta asked with a little excited squeak. “Like, it took me so much to just scrape at the surface. The disk was so stubborn but you cracked it- how?”

“I am special,” I replied calmly, “ And I am surprised you are not mad because I called dibs on your stuff for a while.”

“Since you helped me, I think that can be ignored entirely. Unless you’re a suitor- then no, you are not forgiven.”

“I am here for a diplomatic deal.”

“Boring,” Entrapta huffed. “I am not much of a, you know, diplomat.”

“I was talking about a deal tied to technology and border security. You get a big fancy lab and a few projects that may interest you in my country, and we join in alliance.”

“Not in marriage?” The princess asked. “Lots of men would die for a body like mine.”

“And perhaps perish at having to deal with a stinky girl.”

Her jaw dropped at that. “I-I am not that stinky.”

“Yet.”

“I will shower!” She weakly protested. “Look, let’s go back to that fancy deal. So, technology- like what?”

“Did you know that… is there a way to create a powerful enough device to erase an entire city in a single blast?”

Her eyes widened. “Oh?”

“And the energy used could be harnessed as a clean way and semi-unlimited source for all sorts of machinery?”

"Ooh~? Go on.”

“And you kind of also use some of that to produce rockets to travel to other planets?”

Entrapta was suddenly sitting on my lap, eyes wide open and her cheeks flushed. “A-Are you sure you are not asking to marry me or something? That’s hitting all the right boxes for me.”

“Flattering as it may be, I still like my girl to be someone dedicated to her job. And you have been a bit of a shut-in for years now.”

“W-Well, I guess I can… try and seduce you! By being the best scientist ever!”

“What matters to me is that you also get a healthy amount of outdoor activity and showering.”

Her lips took a grim turn. “I… I will try. I can’t promise that much, but I will try.”

“...You know what, you get that leeway.”

“Yay!” And she was now hugging me. I hugged her back.

Diplomacy with a pseudo-Gamer Girl with a short attention span at its finest!

AN

Entrapta is like Oppenheimer, except she is into becoming Death, Destroyer of World, is rather hyperactive around science and can nuke with twice the eagerness compared to her counterpart.
