The most charitable take on Greenwald is that maybe he is doing what he is doing, because he's trying to protect Snowden. As far as redemption goes, there is plenty of need for forgiveness and second chances as it relates to people's humanity. But as far as professional reputations go, I don't think Greenwald's or Taibbi's will ever recover. What they are doing is just another version of what people like Jay Carney did when he went from Time to the Obama White House, to being a PR flack for Amazon.
