This was an epic postgame, thanks David, Matt, and Ben! On the DiEM25 question, and I hope Strom sees this too, this is Varoufakis talking about concrete, achievable things the party will do, all within the current EU framework and bylaws: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jec9rBFqcwc It's one man talking, and he is not the entire party (although he is the face of the party), but I still have high hopes for this movement. He even addresses left skeptics at the 17:23 mark of the video. He even admits that his goal is not to bring in and convince leftists, his goal is to take the hearts and minds of the common European worker, and what their movement can do for them the next Monday morning after they win. And once they are in power, they can lay the foundations to moving to a more democratic system away from Brussels and the ruling oligarchies. It's ambitious, but it's not incremental, not third-way, and not centred on the abolition of oppressive institutions like the central banks of Europe. Definitely doing a lot more than what the so-called progressives in the US are doing. I don't know, I'm generally pessimistic, but if I'm in an EU country, I will definitely be a volunteer and member for this party.
