This has been something that has bothered me, a lot of characters don't look their age, most of the time they look older than they actually are.

This is why Rule34 of most anime character despite their age has been ignored because of how hard it is to tell the age of a 2d character. US law does not prohibit it as long as they don't look like a real human, (for me characters who obviously look like children like Beatrice from Rezero and few other characters. Nagatoro from don't bully me miss nagatoro. is pushing it Imo.

Yaorozu Momo is a prime example of that, she's supposedly 16(currently) in the series) but her body doesn't look like it at all. Even the wiki and answers I get on Bing and google say she has a very mature look....

So trying to age her up almost feels pointless due to how she looks.

I finished a set on her just now but contemplating if she should be aged up.

Patreon says to age up characters if they are under 18 to look older, but idk how if the character looks over 18. Not to mention the look of some characters who are way older than they look and they can look like a high schooler (mostly characters that aren't deities or other race or demigod like Rory), but more like the teacher from Date A live who's shorter than the students and even looks younger!

I don't mind aging up characters, but there are times I feel like they aren't the look that most people want to see the characters as (and at times I'm not happy how they look), it's Rule 34, I am picky about how characters look on the face, down to the facial structure, the eye shape, and other features of the face. I really want to make accurate versions of characters specifically the face most importantly.

Haruhime is hard to even age up do to her very distinct look and even trying to age her up doesn't make any difference.

Here is how she looks, looks cute but her eyes are unique where aging her up wont change much.

Usually aging up adjusts the head size, eyes and eyes shape, and the body looks bustier as well.

There has been times where I left characters out of Patreon due to them not looking like themselves. While some that turned out really good I had already posted on here and in character requests. (This doesn't mean I don't like making them in different styles, I like making characters in a stylized look as well) Age up can mess with very specific features of the face than kind of ruin it at times.
