Well, it looks like what I've presented this week will not be the only review of its kind that I'll be going quite in-depth when talking about movies. At the same time as the new one's release, I'm also working on the next one that will also be as big as what you've just seen with Saludos Amigos. However, based on what it's going to be, it will be for different reasons than going into  the history of how it got made. I've had other things I had to do in-between that took my time as well, but this was another week where the main thing that I've done was another big review that required more work than I expected. To give you a bigger picture of what I mean, here's what I've done during the week.

- Released my review of Saludos Amigos:  I knew that I was about to enter into something completely different with this one. As a 42-minute movie that was created for propaganda reasons, I knew that I don't have a lot of materials to work with by making the typical reviews that I do. Considering that I only touched on the subject in Animation Lookback: Walt Disney Animation Studios +, I figured it would be a perfect opportunity for this to be half a review, and the other half would be about Walt Disney's South American goodwill tour and some of the events that occured during that time. It really helped to spice up the video, since there wasn't a whole lot to discuss with the movie itself. I find Saludos Amigos to be one of Disney's weaker features that doesn't have as much strength as it did when it was initially released. That or it is made for a VERY specific demographic. It's more interesting to talk about the history of Saludos Amigos than to talk about the movie itself. However, the next review will be a different challenge than this, one that some have been anticipating for and that I've been worried when it's my turn. As you may have seen, I'll be reviewing Shark Tale, and that's what I've been doing during the week.

- Created the next AniMat's Classic Reviews: As I released the new ACR, I was also working on the one after that. I already did a bit of work at the end of last week to prepare for this moment, but this time, I was fully getting into this movie. As I've said, the amount of ambition you saw in the Saludos Amigos review will also be found on the Shark Tale one. However, this won't be a historical kind of video that would be sprinkled with trivia. I won't go and immediately say what I think of it, but Shark Tale is a unique feature where there are some flaws that can be found in other films, but others are only found here where they play a role in its notorious reputation. Turns out that I had to do a lt of explanations for that, including chances to slip in some humor to give you some laughs along the way. I don't know if I set a new standard for myself with these reviews, but it just so happened that the movies I've been offered to look into inspired me to turn them into something bigger.

- I was a Guest for a Local TV Show: While I was in the middle of working on reviews, I was invited to be a special guest for a TV show that's only shown in Waterloo  where the hosts talk about movies in the similar vein of something like Siskel and Ebert. The subject that I had to research and watch is some fantasy films by Rankin/Bass. Specifically, their adaptations of The Flight of Dragons, The Hobbit, The Return of the King and The Wind and the Willows. It was interesting in itself to look up these movies and revisit a few, but it was a nice time to put my animation research in good use and give a spotlight to some lesser-known adaptations to some popular pieces of literature. Rather if you will get a chance to see it or it gets uploaded online, that I don't know, but I'll let you know if there's a way to publically watch it.

And that was what I was up to this week. I was not expecting that I'll be making one review a week, but with the Shark Tale review done, I think I'll be moving onto other projects that need to be done and maybe accomplish a bunch of smaller things within that week. I'll be sure to plan out what I have next, so until next time...

See ya later, dudes!

Great to hear you got to appear on Waterloo and discuss your niche of animation through the Rankin/Bass animated adaptations. Hopefully more local TV networks will give you a chance to discuss and share your knowledge on animation like that news channnel once did when Frozen II was released and ask for your thoughts on how Frozen became the cultural phenomenon it was in the last decade.

Congratulations on being on TV (again). I hope things went well with Waterloo and that you had a good time.
