You may have noticed that things are starting to become a little different around here. This wasn't even a big thing I was planning to make like a 2022 milestone or anything. It started out as a small fixup, but then it gradually grew into a new chapter in my Patreon. Not necessarily as big as some of the previous updates, but it's been a while since I've done something like this here to help optimize the channel. Anyways, I'll get more into that later. Let's talk about the week.

- Released my review of The Bad Guys: I'll be honest, a part of me is a little disappointed by this movie.  I was hoping that this could be DreamWorks' greatest animated feature since How To Train Your Dragon 2, but it's hard to ignore that it has a pretty bad script. The story is transparently predictable with the "bad guys gone good" narrative and it has easily one of, if not, the worst plot twist villain in an animated movie. But the most frustrating part about its problem is that, if it weren't for that, this would've been a perfect movie. Every other element is nailed beautifully and the movie is so much fun for that. I love the animation, the voice acting, the chemistry between the characters, the action and the heists. They were so close to achieve a top contender of what could've been one of the best animated films of the decade. It feels like the writing held it back from its full potential. Don't get me wrong, I still really like the movie and it's be best that the studio put out in a long time, but it was SO CLOSE to being amazing!

- Finished working on the next Series Review: After the weeks of watching the episodes, having other projects in the way, burning myself out in the process, and the work put into bringing this to life, my journey with this project is finally done. It wasn't an easy process to go through, but I'm pretty happy with the final result that I have. Plus, I did manage to find some small opportunities to get a little comically creative. One example I can hint out is that I did do a little quick sketch in the opening that fits very well with the theme. I did have fun both watching some episodes and making the review, so I hope that can translate well for the viewers to have fun too. One warning I can say now is that the show I'm talking about is possibly the most violent I've seen and there will be some clips that do get nasty, so be warned before you get into this one, that is if you haven't seen the show already.

- Making some changes on my Patreon: As I've stated in some recent posts, I've made some changes to the $100/month tiers to mainly solve the issue of overcrowding requests. Long story short, the Executive Producer tier is now limited to 5 patrons at a time and it'll only be for requesting animated movies of AniMat's Classic Reviews and changed the TV Executive Producer tier into the Special Executive Producer tier, where people can requests anything else like TV shows, live-action movies, etc., and that will have a limited capacity of 3. Despite that now both are fully taken, I think that should help solve the overcrowded problem and won't have issues with people waiting too long for their requests. Also, you've probably also seen a poll that I've created in regards to the $25/month tier. I'm considering changing the reward and I'll say now that, from the votes that I have collected as you're reading this, more than half want to see the return of Art Commissions! I don't think I'll be doing the change immediately and I think I'll make next month the last episode of the Super Secret Q&A Show. I'll have to also think about what to do with those who are already pledging $25/month or more. When I'll make the change, I will make an official post like before to explain how this is going to work.

- Started editing Animation Lookback: The Muppets: After all the different reviews and projects I had to work on throughout the month, I've officially returned to creating the long-awaited comeback of AL! Considering this is the first part and it's been weeks since I've made any updates to the project, I'm gradually taking my time to remember the process with the editing and putting all the pieces together, and I don't think this will be easy to find the materials for these. Keep in mind that I'm starting with Jim Henson's early years and I don't want to end up looking like a copy of what Defunctland had already produced. This could also be my main project that I'll be working on next week, but this is already getting me excited for my historian side to return with this brand new AL.

And that's what's been going on in the final week of April. There will be some small changes ahead, but hopefully, they will be changes for good! And they will be changes that will help make my Patreon be bigger and better than ever! Thank you all for all your love and support and, until next time...

See ya later, dudes!

Awesome! I can’t wait to see the puppet you ordered! I know the changes to your Patreon will be well worth it!

For the last Q&A, I am going to give the best question I can possibly give. And I can’t wait to see what the series review is. That and the AL on the Muppets.
