No it isn't, "Wolfwalkers" is fantastic competition...but it does beat it out. I only bring it up because "Soul" isn't the *default* best movie, despite an obvious lack of animated films coming out this year.

I just finished watching the film not to long ago and I have to say I absolutely loved it. It truly is another phenomenal masterpiece from Pixar and easily the best animated film of 2020 by a long shot. And this is a film we truly need during these tough times. It was also an animated film that did get me teared up a bit.

I saw this movie with my folks the day after Christmas, and holy shit I did not expect to love it as much as I did. The animation is amazing, the characters are wonderful and for some very relatable, and yeah, it's definitely the most thought provoking film Pixar has made since Ratatouille. Also what I love is when even if you don't look like the same person or are from a different background, you can still relate to what the characters go through. Considering I've been kinda unsure about myself lately I definitely needed a movie like this to come out kinda like how Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 came out when me and my dad were having issues but after it we both reconciled and such.

Definitely a Great film to end an otherwise very difficult year. My roommate and I actually watched Wonder Woman 1984 and this back to back, and I’m glad we watched this after WW84, because while that was a good film, it wasn’t a great film, whereas this was a great film.

It a great film to be honest. After watching Wonder Woman 1984, I felt like I need to watch this over Wonder Woman 1984 since that one was disappointing. For Soul, it looked fantastic. Having a hard time if either Soul or Wolfwalker is the best but I think both of them are great so I think either one of them deserves an Oscar for Best Animated Feature. Glad it was worth watching.
