Next time, the Walt Disney Company starts losing faith in their flagship animation studio, again, as competition from studios from Pixar, DreamWorks, and Blue Sky come to dominate the American animation industry.

Hugo Segal

Particularly the former two as Pixar consistently overshadowed Disney Feature Animation and DreamWorks found CG gold in a little film known as "Shrek."

Cool, I got an early birthday gift! Yep I’m about to turn 21 tomorrow and it great to see the look at the end of Disney’s Renaissance before jumping into the 2000s decade. I find it very interesting but also laugh when it comes to Logan’s animation. Mulan and Hunchback were ones I like the most of. Seeing one of those behind films scenes that were my sister’s favorites and mine when it comes to Disney is really worth it and thanks for sending it early! Really appreciated!

Dang, I was hoping in the Hercules part, you would mention the fact that the movie had some controversy in Greece. Disney wanted the film to premiere in Pnyx hill but the Greek Government disapproved the idea due to heavy negetive feedback from the Greeks. One of the even said it was "another case of foreigners distorting our history and culture just to suit their commercial interests".

Can you imagine if it was the composer of the original Godzilla movie from 1945, Akira Ifukube, who worked on the music of Mulan? God, it would be beyond epic!

Next Time on ALWD+ WELCOME FOOL DISNEY FANS TO THE SECOND DARK AGE OF DISNEY😈☠️👻👹

Justin Monti

Another awesome lookback video. Next time we enter into the 2000's with the start of the second dark age of Disney.

Lady Tyler Bio Rodriguez

Another hit. This is by far your best AL yet. Can't wait for the second Dark Age.

Hunter O'Laughlin

Great job on retelling and expanding the history of the last films of the Disney Renaissance. This was one of your best episodes. And I can’t wait to see the next episode because one of the first Disney animated films of the 2000 decade and the Post-Renaissance Era “The Emperor’s New Groove” has a really fascinating history.

Hugo Segal

There's even a full-length documentary on "The Emperor's New Groove" you can easily find on YouTube called "The Sweatbox."
