Update Blog - 1/11/20 (Patreon)

It's official, the Holidays are done. Things are back to normal, decorations are out and I'm back to work. Admittedly, it's been a tough week after facing some bad luck that did hit my motivation hard, but at least I'm glad I pushed through it and got things done.

- Released the new AniMat Watches of Open Season 3: I knew among all the Open Season movies, this one is special. These movies have been given me crap after crap, but this is the one that many say that this is the worst (As if this is from one of the directors of Cloudy 2 is not enough of a hint on that). Because of that, I decided to have this be the Open Season to have an AniMat Watches for. So far, without seeing Scared Silly yet, I might've made the right call to highlight my watching experience on this because this was just painful to look at. The jokes get terrible, the animation is weird, the story gets predictable to the point that it makes you say, "Oh no, they're doing THAT?!?" and it makes it worse when you think how this tries to fit in the Open Season world because it messes things up quite easily. In fact, that's probably what it does best, mess everything up and make it all worse. But now that we've all watched it and got a good idea of what we're getting into, next week will be the actual review and it will be worth going through the experience of getting familiar with the feature.

- AniMat's Crazy Cartoon Cast has a new YouTube Channel: This was the secret project I did last week to fully enter 2020 in a new way. Long story short, I decided to separate my podcast from my main channel in order for both to grow more healthily in this current algorithm that YouTube has established. What's more, I'm also doing a little bonus content where every week,  along with the main episode, I'll upload a highlight that focuses on one of the topics I talk about in the episode. Oh, that and I made the podcast available on Spotify as well. I know I won't be seeing any significant improvements on either channels now, but I'm sure this will be good for the long run. - Finished the next part of AL: Walt Disney Animation Studios +: After several weeks of working on this project and putting it on hold due to the holidays, I've finally managed to finish up the long-awaited next part of ALWDAS+! Admittedly, this took me much longer than I should due to circumstances that made it hard to get myself invested in working, but by the end of the week, I'm glad that I pushed through and made sure to give it all the proper revisions to make the entire wait worth it and I made sure to have this be a very memorable part. Not only because it contains a good chunk of information on some of Walt's later movies, but there are moments that both me and Logan have worked hard to have them be highlights to welcome Animation Lookback into 2020. It won't be long until this is officially released, so I am as excited as many of you are for this to be released.

Well, I can say for myself that I started off 2020 a bit on the wrong foot (like the rest of the world from the madness said in the news), but then again, we're only starting. As long as I hold on to my hopes and push through the big obstacles in my way, 2020 could most likely be better then even I could imagine. So until next time...
