Kuroo knows the best way to get Akaashi to sleep is to pull him onto his lap and jerk him off nice and slow. Akaashi always gets so wound up with stress, especially when there’s a deadline coming, and it turns him into a grouchy insomniac.   

When the glasses come off Kuroo knows Akaashi has reached the end of the line and that’s when it’s time to slide in next to Akaashi, take his laptop out of his hands, and tug him right on top of his lap. He spreads Akaashi’s legs wide across his thighs and slips his hand into Akaashi’s sweatpants to tug them down. Akaashi is pliant in his exhaustion, arms looping lazily around Kuroo’s shoulders while Kuroo starts to work him up.   

They make out with languid strokes of their tongues, almost more like sharing breath than actually kissing. Kuroo’s hand is firm but gentle, stroking Akaashi off with practiced ease. He recognizes that Akaashi is close when his hips start rocking into the curl of Kuroo’s hand and it’s second nature to move his other hand from Akaashi’s hip so he can catch his org*sm before it makes a mess on their clothes. Kuroo licks his hand clean while Akaashi watches him and catches his breath and then Akaashi leans in to lick the taste of himself from Kuroo’s mouth.  

And now Kuroo knows when he carries Akaashi into the bedroom and crawls beneath the sheets with him that his favorite editor will sleep like a baby.
