It is what it is. I'm committed to making the mobile experience as usable as possible, but it may not always look super pretty. The little minus (-) buttons can be clicked to collapse their respective UI elements, so you can reclaim a lot of screen real estate by keeping things you aren't using closed (see the second image). The game also allows you to switch the side of the screen some UI elements appear on, which might help, too.

Making the game work well (or well enough, at least) on mobile and browsers is a priority for me; I want anyone who was able to play Succubus Stories to be able to play Hex, so I do plan to work hard to optimize the game across all modern devices and screens. Of course, with an alpha, I'm sure issues and bugs will abound, but the ultimate goal is to have a competent mobile version of the game (via mobile web browsers and JoiPlay, I don't plan to make a native app).
