Rough Plans for the Next Few Months (Patreon)

Let's take a look ahead to the rest of this year and the first quarter of next year. Keep in mind, these are tentative plans, not promises. 

Version 0.11.1

This patch is coming in a few days. It will bring Selfcare to the free edition, as well as the hand-drawn art. I plan to release a small amount of content as well, so patrons may want to check it out too. This content will mostly be for setting up Rais’s romance, plus some other odds and ends I didn't finish in time for v0.11.

I will be taking some time off after this release for the holidays, so there won’t be much news out of me until January. I'll be monitoring my feeds for bug reports, though, so let me know about any bugs or problems!

Convent Update

This is just released (probably) when you’re reading this! This mostly rebalances the mod content and adds butt plug support to the mod's activities and events. Some other adjustments were made too, but nothing life-changing.

Mod Tools - CLI

A beta version of a command-line application for compiling mods is coming in January, alongside a first-pass at modding guides and documentation. If you want to mod the game, please contact me, as I plan to have some closed testing first. You can contact me on the discord, or here through patreon.

Mod Support for the Free Edition

Mod support will be coming to the free edition of the game in v0.12 or v0.13. Mod tools will remain patron-only until they leave beta.

Free edition players will probably receive Convent at that time. As for future official mods I will decide who gets what on a case-by-case basis, but I expect most to have some sort of patron exclusivity period even if they do go free, and I will probably keep some stuff exclusive to the patron edition permanently.

If you have strong feelings or other thoughts about me giving mods to free players let me know. I'm open to feedback on this, and it's still far away.

Version 0.12

This update is planned for a February release. It will feature a large chunk of chapter 4, Rais's romance, Rais artwork for at least the renders, and some requests and other content for Rais as well. I want to really focus on story content in this update, so don't expect tons of new activities, events, or progression.

I've mentioned before the "issues" with chapter 4 being very different and having a lot of variations based on the choices the player has made, and that will make this content difficult to write, so please bear with me. I think the impact of having truly divergent paths is worth the trouble.

Version 0.13

In this update, I hope to add the debtor's prison and related content. If you want to know what that entails, there have been some discussions about it over on the discord server. The long and short of it is that getting into debt will have consequences, mostly leading to sexy stuff, but no true game overs. I also want to overhaul the dungeon in this update; that's been on my list, and it fits the theme of this update.

Story content will hopefully include the rest of chapter 4 and some setup for Charlotte's romance, though the actual romance itself will be in a future update.

Second Quarter 2022

This post isn't going to try to dive too far into the future, but expect parts of chapter 5 (the game's final chapter!), the promised brothel mode feature, Charlotte's romance, mod tools for free edition users, and more.

How Close Are We to a Version 1.0 Release?

I do not plan to stop working on the game once it’s “done.” For example, after finishing chapter 5 I want to add optional post-game content, including a few storylines (maybe even some that follow different characters, like Charlotte or Wicked Pam), as well as a new game plus mode, expanded and enhanced early game content (revisions and expansions to the earlier chapters of the game, especially the prologue), and some official mods. Once chapter 5 is done, though, and the game is playable from beginning to end, I’m going to call that v1.0.0. I expect this to happen in mid-2022.
