Lets put some numbers to this thing. These metrics will be mostly accurate to v0.2.0 when it releases, but I am still testing and making adjustments, so if the final metrics differ, that's why. Any differences should be negligible, however. In the parenthesis will be the change since v0.1.x.

  • Over 65,000 words (+27,000)
  • Approximately 170 encounter scenes (+10)
  • Over 100 unique events (+56)
  • 17 perks (+3)
  • 52 traits (+9)
  • 16 potions (+6)
  • 7 explorable areas (+1)
  • 25 unique CGs (+10)

It's worth noting that the word count, like the metrics posted for v0.1.x, does include some scripting in it. Also, I don't think I mentioned this last time, I count one-time events (e.g., story and request events) in these event counts. It's not easy to separate out only the random events based on the way I did things, but they should be a comfortable majority in both versions.

As you can see, I more than doubled the event count, but the word count only increased by around 70%. I imagine this is because of the massive number of encounter scenes and the numerous menus, descriptions, and areas that weren't related to events that existed in the last version; probably the large majority of the text content was things other than events. Most of the text content that was added in this version was related to events.

+10 CGs

CGs are the artwork that gets shown on the backgrounds during encounters. I've added 5 CGs for solo urination and 5 for solo masturbation. These aren't encounters, but I thought they could use some spicing up, so here they are. I want to try to add group sex and lesbian sex CGs as well in the future, but we'll see what happens. I also want to hire an artist to make me better art, so it may not be worth it depending on how long it takes me to build up a cash reserve to do that.

This Was a Pretty Big Update

The next devlog will be a bit of a postmortem on this, but this was a massive update and I probably should have pushed more stuff back into v0.3.0, but I  felt a need to really work hard to make sure v0.2.0 felt like a big deal. If this update felt small to you or didn't meet your expectations, then I imagine that's disappointing to hear, but it is the truth. I don't know that every update going forward will be this large. I imagine this update is probably the upper limit to what I can do in a month on my own, at least without quitting my day job.
