Lots of thought went into Beetle's room and how she would live in it, I wanted it to be idealized without it being unrealistically big for their small house. It's the room of a kid who isn't rich but IS doted on by her grandma, and who has made a few additions to the room herself. She has lots of stuffed animals that have been pushed up out of the way now that she's a bit older. The huge spider on that low shelf is her favorite because it's huge and because Gran made it herself. Beetle also has a lot of goblin magic tools in this room, lots of jars of potion ingredients and floating pickled creatures to harvest bits off of. Her bookshelf has manga volumes, notebooks from her studies on goblin magic, old binders of drawings and magical tomes. She has taped some cool stuff to her walls and added stickers here and there.

Beetle's desk is on the other side of the room and it's where she does most of her studying. Beetle is a lot more devoted to research when someone she cares about needs her help, but in this scene she's neglecting her goblin magic studies. I had to make the post-its from Gran really big so you'd be able to read them when the book was printed but I think they're funny. She's also got an art class homemade pencil cup. As for the calendar, I did not want to set a precedent for what seasons look like in this world and I'm going to keep avoiding the subject.
